That's honestly what I thought. And I was willing to accept that. Until the second motor I took a part had the SAME EXACT CRACK, IN THE SAME EXACT place. Then I found out ford recalled 140,000 1.6L turbo engines for this. There fix was...... A software update.

Wow, I completely forgot. Had a Crazy Thursday morning to.... Now ( and gotta be up on 5 hours ) and I totally forgot !!

Had a few issues with other things, not the turbo itself. Car was having trouble keeping a consistent afr

Downpipe bolts apparently came loose on the ride to the shop (exhaust leak = the funky afr). They are going to retap threads and put some new hardware on. Turbosmart shortie BOV is leaking or not working correctly. The shop was going to take it apart to inspect and give me a call Monday. Then they are going to retune the car for me.

It actually wasn't fulling tuned. That was with the meth pushing the AFR into the 9.8 range still in the mid-range and the AFR on the upper end was still rich too.

I was waiting on the ATP intercooler to finish tuning it ( and for some more fuel help from DHM ). But the whole cylinder head thing came up... I just need time to work on the car now...

I was thinking today.... Since our coolant temps rise so fast, and the car does loose power because of it, I wonder if any of the guys going to upgraded rad will see power rise....? Random thought.

You only lose power because timing is reduced. Timing is only reduced if you allow timing to be reduced if you are picking up what I'm putting down.

I also make changes to all cooling tables, not a single one goes untouched.

Oh yea! This is great news, I will definitely try to get E30 soon for my EWG cyborg as well. Still need to order the 2J though....
