I'm glad your happy with it Dusty :)
I'm excited to see it progress as time goes on as well :)
I'm also getting a money order for your cores tomorrow to mail you.
The 2J intake will wake it up even more. And the meth injection will wake it up even more. And cooler temps will.... Wake it up a lot more, lol.
But I'm happy to hear your happy with the entire setup of the car. The goal of the cyborg never was to make any horsepower or even 1/4 mile records. It was to simply make the car what it should have been from the start, instead of a 6.0L V8 torque at 2800rpm machine, it can have useable power EVERYWHERE. While almost nothing that increases horsepower comes without a trade-off, its a really nice gain with minimal trade off.

I'm going to keep it like this until Stratified finishes an aux fueling for the FiST as they have done for the FoST. Then it'll be straight E85 for me!

So cost for Dusty's setup is $1400.00 + 400.00 core charge? This may be my next mod. I really do not want 400 hp. 300 or there abouts would be fine for me. I need to get my 2011 Mustang done so I can pull everything off my ST without worrying about being done by Monday morning. I'm also anxious to see what MAPerformance has in store, as well as comparison to Deadhook. Nice to have so many options.

The cyborg setup is $1450+ $400 fully refundable core. Dusty's setup runs the external wastegate. The external wastegate is a $500 option. Just the wastegate alone is $260 and labor is another $240 because Dusty's was actually quiet quiet quiet labor intensive ( time consuming too ), and then I still had to pay a certified food-grade stainless tig welded to do the welding for me.
So for Dusty's setup, it would be $1950+ $400 core.
The external wastegate has benefits for sure. And I understand $500 is an expensive "add-on". But with the labor involved and the time it takes, it really just is what it is. It may or may not be worth the extra cost to people. I can say this.... I fully plan on going to an external gate ASAP ;)

$1950.00 is a good price. I already have the money for that. How long after receipt of payment (including core exchange cost) will it take for you to complete? Do you have a core, and is it new, or reconditioned (used)? I'm just trying to sort out my options. Thanks.

I have core manifold and turbine housings. I have siestarider's core, and Dusty's core will be shipped to me today ( I think its low mileage from a 2015 ). But even better, I think a guy on the forum is selling a stock turbo for $200? $250? Shipped. You could have him ship me that turbo and then just do a $150 core for the manifold, then you could keep your stock turbo or sell it after words. And that guys $250 turbo has like 600miles on it. But honestly, miles really don't matter too much since we put all new seals and bearing in the turbo anyway.
I tell guys it will be shipped 4-6 weeks after the money is in my hand, but it could be faster actually.
I also have a core coming back from a buyer in Canada soon. Cores are not an issue, lol.

I will tell you right now, the inlets are my only issue. The guy that custom builds them by hand told me he is having a hard time getting more of the tapered stainless pieces for the inlet ( where it tappers from 40-50mm to 2.5 inches right off the flange almost ). That means, we can't build the inlets unless we source a new tapered piece. I sell them for $150, be builds them for $150. But if we can't make them, then pumaspeed maybe the option ( the $150 would just come OFF the price of the cyborg ). But besides the inlet, I'd have zero delays in getting started on one. It could be as early as 3 weeks, but I try to tell people 4-6 weeks.
I also send a lot of updates on the progress of YOUR PRODUCT multiple times a week. I realize it takes a bit of faith to send someone money over the internet ( even some established like myself), but I try to make it worry free as I can. And if any issues do come up, I don't beat around the bush, leave you wondering, or lie about the reason its delayed. I do this for spare change to use at the arcades, lol, its work, but its also what I like to do.

Just a quick question for Sourskittle... so with DHM coming out with a new manifold soon, if i decided to use that instead of the ported manifold you produce, would that also cut down on the price? Obviously i could send you mine as a core if you need it.

I love how promising this looks. and i have read a lot of this so far. but your 285whp is from this cyborg upgrade? plus bolt ons of course. thats insane. for this little rocket that sounds like the perfect upgrade.

and from your knowledge or anyone else for that matter. how would this compare to the ATP 2554r upgrade turbo? (price i do not care about so much just specs. if you need to direct me somewhere to read i won't be embarrassed. I'm still kinda new to the forum. Thanks in advance. this looks VERY promising

My personal opinion is that unless your going to a GTX28, the cyborg is the best current option for drivability and power mixed. The GTX has some happy owners as well, but its fairly costly comparatively.

As far as DHM making a stock turbo based tubular manifold, I wouldn't buy it or want it. I prefer cast manifolds ( and I'm not alone ). I think Adam at MAP said he was looking at a cast stock turbo manifold replacement with an external wastegate port. I'd take that opinion. Issue is... It doesn't exist, and you maybe really to trade the car in by the time it gets here ( it it does at all, who knows ). I would stop porting stockers (unless someone requested it ) if Adam cast a new high-performance manifold. Keep in mind, a DHM tube manifold would be around $700-$1200 and would likely have a bit more lag but more top end, for that, I'd recommend just going GtX.

I think the middle ground would be a TD04HL-19T. But... No one will build it because the profit margin on TD04's.

My tuner did a conservative tune because he's never done a Fiesta ST.. I sent Adam a message and sent him the data log and he told me it was funky for a daily tune and he'll take care of it. But with the virtual dyno it showed 245hp at 5241rpms and 262tq at 3962rpms... this is a 91 octane tune, 100* heat, 4000ft elevation and no water/meth.. I know when Adam (@MaPerformance) gets it he'll tweak it right and when Stratified finishes the aux fueling I'll be able to run off straight E85 for even more power... There is no torque spike but it just pulls hard from about 2500 to 6300 before you start to feel it fall off.. It really should have come from factory like this... NO regrets...

I really want to follow you on this, SS has my core and ready to go. How did you plumb the EWG into the downpipe? Custom pipe and welding?

Are there other options that work for street? I am big on stealth, so has to be quiet.

Thanks for leading this direction, I am stoked on the theory.

Sourskittles, oh, figured out why I couldn't use your tune, I have a 2015...

I have a catted CP-E downpipe that has two O2 sensor bungs, cut out the second (lower) one and had the dump pipe flange welded to it. Everything is hidden, quiet and because it's catted it looks legal (visually). I still have the factory intake and I can actually hear the turbo start to "light up" around 2300rpms (with radio off and windows down), sounds cool. My tuner did a conservative tune, he doesn't think/know that the turbo can handle 25psi at that long of a rate and doesn't want to be the one to blow up my car (his words). So, I sent a data log to Adam at MaPerformance and will have him work a tune for me. I'm also going to do some spring swaps in the wastegate to see if that helps hold it more up top to 7000.. and once Stratified/MaPerformance gets the aux fuel (5th injector) it's going to be straight E85 for my CyborgFiST, either way it's a work in progress because it's all new to us!!

If you are on the fence for any turbo kit just get to a stage 3 tune, install LSD, clutch kit and wait for all the dust to settle and for dyno sheets to come out. Kit prices will battle and come down then you can really make a choice of how you want your car to respond or wallet to empty!

Thanks Dusty, I am running Cobb S3, have Quaife, eagerly watching your progress.

Now have to delay my next set of MBRP 3" mods, latest plan is to swap Vibrant resonator from exhaust end into MBRP resonator spot, add Vibrant muffler to exhaust end. May as well get all the exhaust work done at one time including DP dump pipe flange weld.

You used a custom pipe and flange dump to direct EWG to DP?

Yes, exactly. I had to take the entire exhaust manifold, turbo, downpipe to a TIG welder to make a custom set up. We marked where the dump pipe should be located so as to clear everything before taking it to him. I'm making up a photo album with my build and will be posting it all.. the next item is to change the springs in the TIAL wastegate; I'll let you know which one was used. Sourskittles told me to use both that came with the kit but I think we just used the 10lb one... needs more for sure..
