Tunes sent.
Map slot #1 to start with.
Slot 2 and 3 either get more aggressive or less aggressive ( check the global on each one ).
Slot 4 for be more or less timing ( the opposite of what ever 2/3 were)
Slot 5 is "limp home" lol.
Global timing is not a good overall solution for 93 octane. It's one thing to use it while testing and making changes to your borderline tables but you shouldn't have to (or choose to) make adjustments to your MBT tables without a dyno to verify that you're getting actual gains as opposed to just adding needless stress.

The global timing is just there for tuning. I never switch maps. I just drive on slot #1. But when I'm trying to get more out of it, I try to add timing globally. Also... In florida, if it happens to be 102degrees with 100% humidity and I have 5 200lbs men in my car, then I can instantly dial back 2 degrees as well temporarily.

I was simply informing what the slots were, on a basic tune. Ultimately, the Dan would have to make it his own ( by adjusting it up or down ) or by what he's doing, paying a real pro tuner money instead of using my base tune which is much better than a cobb OTS, but def not as good as a pro tune. Its not advertised as a pro-tune or sold. I simply give it to anyone that can and wants to use it :)

I know there were some people around these parts interested in my Cyborg. PM me, if so. I'll be putting it up in the F/S ads in the next day or so.

Were you running it or just changed your mind before installing and got a big turbo?
Nope, it's been run. Has approximately 4000 miles on it since it was rebuilt due to a quick lube joint over filling my oil, killing the seal.

Fiesta
Vw K03s 1.8T
Wrx 13T

If I can find my spare stock fist turbine wheel, I'll post it up comparing it to the Vw as well.

Just cool to compare...

For some reason my enthusiasm for stock turbo "enhancements" exceeds my desire for a larger turbo housing. I eagerly await the external WG results with the cyborg. SS has my core but the plan for it keeps changing as this thread evolves. Whoo Hoo! this is fun!

As soon as I get my FMIC I'll install the cyborg and get it road tuned (pro-tuned), then get it to a dyno and post results.. I'm hoping just to expand the power range and keep the FiSTs excellent low end power.. the big turbo guys don't like the lag they have now...

We don't? Feels plenty fun/fine to me. Boost isn't everything.

As long as you are happy what I say is irrelevant! I've done the big turbo 4 banger and absolutely hated the lag. I'd prefer to have over 200lb ft of torque from 2500-7000rpms, and over 250lb ft of torque from 3000-5000 than to wait for anything to happen over 4000rpms. The short, technical tracks and SCCA solo's are my venue and where the FiST shines...

The guy "Tom" that I just did the ported manifold and turbine housing for actually does autocross and he's more geared toward big torque gains. Different strokes. I made sure to tell him to get a wastegate ( mine or turbo smart ) and get a pro-tune for big torque.

I need to find my VD of 354ft lbs on a stock turbo, lol. Its a really crappy looking VD because the car was not tuned for a stock turbo at all, and being as I wasn't keeping the stock snail on for long ( just long enough to clip the cyborg a bit more ), I didn't bother tuning it. But it made 354tq and I think 220whp in an ugly way. I actually thought I could feel the car twisting or the motor twisting in the car at the time. It didn't feel like something that would inspire "durability", lol. But... It did happen.

Yeah, I love the low torque that it kicks out with the stock turbo, I just want it to last to redline! And looking at your cyborg graphs it looks like it's the one for me!

yeah, love the low end torque of the stock turbo. I'm hoping the MAP turbo kit options have something near 300torque/300hp package on 91/93 octane.

Here's an e40 tune. Stock everything but Cobb downpipe. 40.jpg
