At one point, the WGDC was at 85% and the next wgdc was 27%. The wastegate is basically like bouncing.
That really sounds like Error Correction coming in or torque limiting, or something. The actual wastegate arm and flapper doesn't give feedback to the ECU, at that point it's totally analogue so if it's blowing open and closing again by pressure from the exhaust flow, the actual WGDC would stay the same.

The wastegate flapper could basically open close open close open close open close open close and you would not see that reflected in WGDC unless the ECU was actually commanding that through the WGDC table. Any ECU Commanded boost control ends at the boost solenoid and gets no feedback post boost solenoid.

I would log WGDC target, WGDC actual, TIP error, etc to see what is actually going on if you are seeing drastic WGDC sweeps like that.

Ryst. I'm with you. I've read that about 67 times, lol. Still doesn't make me understand it completely, lol. But its not the ECU being a bear as much as the hardware being a $3 spring. When heat cycled, springs loose strength. So I'm tuning a continuously changing wastegate.

Looking at the graph again today with a friend, he noticed it makes 200whp or more from 4225rpms to when the dyno operator let out at 6100rpms ( which may have been the highest point on the graph).

Also wanted to point out, I totally dropped the ball and didn't call the dyno shop today :( Sorry guys.

All the mods? You mean TBE and a modded stock turbo and no other mods? And basically 218whp is what everyone else in the world calls "250hp/bhp" if I was a company it would be called "fiesta ST250".

Funny though... For months it was "beat 215whp would be great", which is why I hammered it home, because I knew it would beat that number and I also knew that when it beat that number, the number would likely change, lol.

Maybe more guys should start taking there cars to real dynos... Most these cars make right 180whp give take. If you told me 11months ago, I could bolt on 38whp and have a way way better topend rpm band, while looking bone stock from the engine bay, I'd be amazed that could happen on a 1.6L with a turbo the size of a pebble.

1. No need to get all defensive. I thought you had full bolt ons plus turbo reworking. That is why i asked for clerification.
2. Also am impressed with the work you guys been boing.
3.shit like this rarely happens when people talk instead of text. Everyone reads whatever they want in a post and more offten than not take it as a negative or a personal attack. So instead of blowing up at everyone, ask for clerification like i did. Although it changed nothing i see.

have a good day. Good luck with your work. I look forward to seeing more but will post on none.

sorry i asked.

Are there any other dyno charts that show results for this turbo?

Is there a before/after dyno chart overlay showing the stock turbo and the upgraded turbo?

How would one go about purchasing one? What shop is selling these?

Does this turbo use an upgraded shaft to support the larger compressor wheel?

What is the size of the upgraded compressor wheel? Compared to stock? Is there data on this?

Are their plans to post more datalogs on spool boost curves compared to stock boost curves? With the limited data that has been shown, it looks like a 1000-1300rpm slower rate to peak torque in 4th gear compared to a stock turbo? Is this correct? Can we see a data overlay on this?

How does it compare in spool to say, a smaller Garrett GT turbo? Do you have data on this?

What is the turn around time on this turbo?

What warranty is provided?

What is the lb/min rating of this turbo?

Is there a published compressor map of this turbo?

Valid Questions I hope in time can be addresses when The seller can and should make it public. Perhaps a PM would be a more quiet place to seek more info.. Something can't be let out till they can and I am sure if you are serious about a purchase all these would be able to be addressed before you plunk down any coin..

It's still in development but pricing has been released and orders have been sent out?

I keep thinking something is missing here.. other than the answers to all the questions in post #71

Three have been done, one is a private individual that does not want any info posted, doing his own thing. The other two are the development ones, not all has been fully worked out yet, and only some of the info is available which has been made public and some still in progress or due to the nature of business, held back until things are fully sorted out.

What really matters is results and that is the primary focus of the time and effort put into this, numbers are great of course but those will come when they are ready.

If you wish to help in the realization of the true potential of this then perhaps you could of got one but it seems you have not chosen this path so all you can do is wait and see what comes or get the ATP you have mentioned and see what it can do.

Of course if you get the ATP please post all the info you are asking about this one or as much as you can find out along the way in an appropriate thread. This thread is about a modded stock turbo but having comparison info on alternatives would be great. I would love to see the results, even during the development, of it as the more viable options we have, the better, for all of us:)

Thanks,
Rick

I was approached to try one out, but not answering the hard questions was the #1 reason I did not choose to pick one up, the other being the unknown shop affiliation, even when I asked multiple times.

Seriously, you guys can't answer even one of those questions in post #71?

I also find it ironic you keep talking about ATP and pointing out they are "laggy" and "unresponsive" yet the limited amount of data posted about this cyborg turbo shows the same amount of "lag", if not more. From 2500rpm or so stock to 3800-4000rpm with the upgraded turbo, but without the top end to make up for it, but you both talk about it like it's a "feature".

Sounds like just putting down a product to bring another one up to me, and not UNBIASED posting like what was promised.

Some info is proprietary at least for the time being, some is not known yet and some is simply not needed to make this work, once it if fully dialed in more info will be posted. For now patience for those waiting for this and it will be worth it for some and not for others that are going a different route due to their wants and needs, for those just curious, well, just have to wait and see.

I am speaking for me, I am not the developer of this, just involved in testing one on my car and I love it so far. I can only say what I know for now or been allowed to say, the developer has the right to post what he wants and not post what he does not want at this time or anytime, just the way it is.

For those that choose to not accept the way this is being handled so be it, for now, it is pretty clear, the answers are not coming forth at least for now.

Ok, so no open answering of questions or unbiased posts. Cool, glad the agreement was held up.

I'd ask for my $50 back but at this point it might be a small loss compared.

I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread now. Wish you all the best.

omg, i want this turbo so much, it looks brill. So sexy. I don't know why I want it, I JUST WANT IT. Like kittens and chocolate. I MUST HAVE IT. No data, no care, all talk, no compare. MUST BUY ONE.

Is that better?
I'm not looking at buying or upgrading anything as I like my vehicle the way it is, so don't put me on the future buyer list. What I have observed is someone trying to develop a product and gauge interest from possible future buyers. Nothing wrong with that and they have made it clear that it is still in development. Trying to be "that guy" who feels he need to call out someone on a message forum over numbers that are not clearly set yet to try and show their plethora of knowledge is what we have here. Sounds like you got your feelings hurt along the way somewhere and this is your way of getting back.

Well i am interested in this upgrade, once a core and some base tunes can be offered, as i can not go too long without my daily. but if time comes when you guys say "hey this is what we have avail. and we can get you back on the road in x time" then i can plan for the down time. keep up the good work. numbers will come with time. no rush for me.
