WAI??
I dunno, I felt like the car was much snappier and more responsive with the Injen intake in it, I have a drop in panel filter and a modded OEM airbox at the moment (I was expecting to need to demonstrate how to install the COBB cold air intake.) and the response is notably slower, modding the airbox helped but the blow off valve noise is no longer super loud like it was with the Injen type of intake.
Intake air temps do get higher with the injen; but overall it's a lot of fun for the money and you will feel it in the seat of your pants. it's not millions of horsepower or anything earth shattering, just response is faster, you can hear the turbo much MUCH more and get the cool BOV noise you want, which is the main thing here for the purpose of this discussion - you wanted that BOV noise - with the added benefit of slightly more power. You might find your mileage will go down because the fun boosty noises will lead you to drive with a much heavier foot x_X
I keep wondering when we're going to see the Cobb Fiesta ST intake and SEMA is NEXT MONTH so um yeah I am not convinced we'll see an intake get released before SEMA. And you have the EcoBoost mustang coming which draws more focus from us, but at the same time it does also bring more aftermarket attention to the ecoboost family of motors.
If you follow Mishimoto's blog they're already analyzing the hell out of the thing and looking for weak points and many of them are shared with our cars
Like the OEM FMIC being a piece of crap
