Should be here in a few days. As far as I know it's the same as the borla. Look forward to getting it put on. Anyone here have the borla or the Ford Racing catback?

I have the Borla. Some don't like it because of the piping diameter but it suits me just fine. I currently run it with a 2JR race downpipe. Mine doesn't drone and IMO is sounds good. I did have to buy a set of exhaust hangers from Kartboy because with the Borla sat a little low for my taste with the stock rubber hangers.

Great info. Thanks man. I was hoping it wouldn't drone, that was my biggest concern. How was the sound before downpipe and yes I agree with the hanging low comment I see that just from the pics.

I have the Borla exhaust as well. I replaced a big 3-inch exhaust that was returned. Kind of the opposite end of the spectrum. It's very quiet in the low RPM range and purrs nicely in the mid-range where the big exhaust (in my case) had some droning issues. Nice tone on throttle; a little deeper than stock, but obviously not a 3-inch pipe growl. It is perfect for my use. For applications keeping the stock turbo and catalytic converter, seems unlikely that more is needed. I got a great price match from the guys at ModBargains. Great vendor.

JPGC: That's good info on the hangers. I reinforced mine with zip ties, but it does hang a little low. I notice that the exhaust walks about 1/4 inch toward the passenger side of the car. Could be due to the zip ties. Not a big deal, but I'm going to see if I can devise something to block that (maybe a little collar zip tied on the hanger support).

Also: Which hangers did you get? I found them here:

http://www2.kartboy.com/x4/search.php?mode=search&page=1

Looks like I'll need to get 4.

If a dp is needed sounds like this exhaust would be the perfect solution with it's comfortable sound output. I will look into some aftermarket hanger.
I didn't want anything obnoxious. How is the tip size compared to stock?

The hangers I got were a little shorter than the factory with the 10mm holes. They go on really tight, btw, but do not cause the exhaust to rub. The poly hangers don't give as much as the stock rubber hangers either. I only used 3 as I left the factory blue hanger near the downpipe to allow for more movement. I think it sits perfect now and it doesn't swing around like factory.

The Borla is fairly tame with the stock downpipe. It does have some growl when you getting on it, but very pleasant for day to day commuting.

Hmmm. Here's what I found on kartboy:

Kartboy Exhaust Hanger 15mm EXTRA LONG Single (BLACK)

Kartboy Exhaust Hanger 12mm Single (BLACK)

Kartboy Exhaust Hanger 12mm EXTRA LONG Single (BLACK)

Kartboy Exhaust Hanger 15mm Single (BLACK)

Which of those is closest to what you found? Could not find any 10mm options.

You know what, my apologies. I ordered the Kartboy 12mm single that you listed and I also ordered another set of 10mm poly bushings...both off of Amazon. I had the Kartboys on first and the 12mm worked but were too lose for my taste and then I went to the 10mm. I was thinking that it was the other way around with the brands. I'm not sure of the brand of the 10mm ones but they look very similar to the Kartboys in size and shape.

Thanks. is this the one?

TORQUE SOLUTION EXHAUST HANGER MOUNT 10 MM

There are only two currently in stock. I'll see if they're available directly from Torque Solutions as well.

They have the 12mm in 4-packs, but not these.

Found them here at Torque Solutions itself:

10 mm exhaust hanger (with a bunch of other hangers)

And a question JPGC: I notice that your setup is closer. Is there any plastic melting going on there with the bumper cutout area? It looks great, but I know these things get HOT on the tip.

Yes, those were the ones. Be aware though that they are a pain to get off once the are on.
