i had laminx on my fogs (yellow ones) and after 2 years or so, the laminx film got burn pretty badly and it was a PITA to get them out after
i guess the heat produced by the fog-lights, since it such a small area and localize burn the film
i use my car every night so i turn the fogs on every day, i just install yellow amber light bulbs and left the fog without a film, looks exactly if it had with the laminx amber
The one on my headlights is still holding strong after 3 years tho

Do the fog light covers actually provide a functional benefit? I always thought they were purely aesthetic. If they help with visibility in bad conditions (read snow) then I should get some.

Amber cuts light output more than the usual colours. I wouldn't put amber covers on a stock fog light but these are bright enough that they about as bright as stock with the darker tint. Regardless when I ran leds in the past, amber covers worked far better than yellow (providing you run bright enough lights mind you).

I went with the Magnetic, but the Kona Blue is really nice, too. Not available on the '18s. They have black, white, magnetic and orange. You pay more for the white and orange.

Kona blue is pretty rare, it was only offered on 2016 models, I've only seen 2 others here locally!
