OIC now....thanks! So the lower plastic air guide is still supported but just with one bolt for each of the 3 mounts rather than 2 bolts per mount...correct?
OEM = 3 mounts. You take the middle one out and leave one bolt out on each side mount.

keep in mind that air guide also gets supported by the bumper cover.

Great data, exactly what I was looking for!

Can you tell me, did you feel any difference over oem? I'm worried the increase in size running the standard little turbo will blunt responsiveness and maybe lose psi?

Thanks

Was out doing some fine tuning getting the car ready for my next track event.

It was about 79-80F ambient out. Sea level.

2014 Fiesta ST
Power mods:
Custom Tune (by me)
E30 fuel
AIRTEC fmic
Boost: 22psi peak to 14psi at 6500rpm
Approx power on this tune (Using VDyno): 210whp/282wtq

3rd gear pull
Intake temp start: 81.8F
Intake temp end: 80.2F
Charge temp start: 83.5F
Charge temp end: 86.7F
Charge temp increase: 3.2F
Delta of end intake temp and end charge temp: 6.5F

3rd gear pull, directly after above, slowing down to low rpm
Intake temp start: 82F
Intake temp end: 80.6F
Charge temp start: 84.4F
Charge temp end: 88F
Charge temp increase: 3.6F
Delta of end intake temp and end charge temp: 7.4F

3rd and 4th gear pull to 5400rpm in 4th gear
Intake temp start: 82F
Intake temp end: 79.4F
Charge temp start: 83.7F
Charge temp end: 86.4F
Charge temp increase: 2.7F
Delta of end intake temp and end charge temp: 7F

This FMIC still rocks. Very happy with this purchase. Obviously it works.

The true true test will be the track event.

Received mine in 2 days after ordering for $575 shipped to my door from the UK. Install was pretty straight forward I didn't even have to jack up the car. Fits nice and snug. I ended up only removing the center bolt/mount as per Airtec's instructions. The other 2 are close, but I don't feel the need to remove them. I'll keep an eye on them, but I'm not worried. For anyone interested, I weighed them and OEM unit came in at 5lbs., the Airtec at 14lbs.

I only had to take the center mount out too.
I also left the bolts in for those other 2 mounts, my understanding is you removed the bolts for those 2 mounts and left one on each side? The bolts are close, but i'm not worried of them rubbing over time. Everything is sturdy and nothing moves.

Hey razorlab, I hope you don't mind these pic posted here, but I thought they might be helpful for those interested in this intercooler.

I went back in and replaced the 2 OEM bolts with pan head bolts for the cradle just for peace of mind.

Here's a shot of the OEM bolt and the clearance with the Airtec intercooler. It fits fine and I don't think there would ever be an issue, as everything is solid and does not move.

Here's the bolt, there's one on each side.

Here's what I replaced them with, they offer a tiny bit more clearance and not abrasive should contact ever occur. Bolts are from Home Depot.

Here's the clearance with the pan head bolt.

And here a shot of the center cradle mount that is removed due to the interference with the intercooler as depicted. Ideally the intercooler would be on top of the mount. It is possible to trim the mount to accommodate the intercooler if one chooses.

By the size and flow of the core I would imagine it's rated to a good bit more than 250. I don't think they publish the core flow ratings though.
