You would be able to use an Injen intake.

I can't think of other advantages.

You do realize that this car already runs on speed density? The MAF is only for IATs.

The North American FiST does yes but in Norway where I think the OP is they have the MAF tuned cars..
Not sure if you could but perhaps you would only need a NA Ecu if the plugs and pin outs would match up ..
Reminds me of the early days of 1.8 honda/Acura swaps

Why change it. Why not just get a tune for the version you got? I can see it costing more than its worth to convert.

You have a point.
I was thinking with COBB it would be easier in the long run supporting mods,(larger turbo etc.) either by e-tune or self-tuning.
Anyone know if e-tuners on this forum have done MAF tunes for the fiesta?

Right now i'm looking at GTX kit from Pumaspeed and they also have a "remote" tune for it.

I also know that Revo is making tune for the Peron BW kit, but it looks very expensive.
Not sure if it's worth the extra money.

I asked Livernois about whether they can tune our MAF cars and they said they 'should' be able to. That might be an option if they have time to work with you?

The main issue is there is no open platform like COBB AP for our MAF based cars that tuners can use to provide us with custom e-tunes. Hence we our locked into package tunes with general set hardware at this point. There may be UK tuners like Finsport that can help us out but I'd fear the price tag.

At least this is my understanding.

Hopefully there will be enough interest that COBB will jump on board.
I'd prepay for a AP now if they said they needed X amount of buyer interest.

Can you check to see if you have the same ECU? I imagine you do and the ECU just has a different ROM compared to North American FiST's.

I bet you could flash or bench flash a USDM SD based rom in the ECU, if all the hardware is the same.

I'd be happy to check but without a backup I won't be bench flashing my ECU. I remember reading somewhere they are actually different ECU's. COBB would know but I doubt it'd be as smooth as just flashing. Each ECU is VIN locked to each car isn't it?

Here is the answer i got from COBB.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we've never tried making a foreign Fiesta compatible and don't know what all would need to be changed. If you could make the USDM ECU work, that would be a start. The cars use different tuning strategies and I'm unsure if any additional wiring or sensors are different. It could be a potential nightmare or it could be fairly straight forward. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help. I would suggest posting on the forums to see if any one else has done something similar. Good luck!

I wonder how many USDM ST wrecks are around? There may be some but who knows how much? I did an eBay search just then & nothing came up for me. Could be best to see how much an American wrecker would charge?
Oh before you buy you'd wanna do a visual check to see if it's a completely different connector etc.

You can check out the Tasca site for a good amount of parts diagrams for the USDM car:

http://www.tascaparts.com/auto-parts/2014/ford/fiesta/?trim=st&engine=1-6l-l4-gas

Also here are the part #'s for the ECU. Not sure which one is the ST. I could take a look at the markings on mine if that helps you.
