595's run wide. I've had them in the past and could use 235's to replace 245's. The 595 235 fit flush on a 18x8.5.

i was sold on the 16x8 TD 1.2..... can't believe the company didnt want to make them in that size.

Now i dunno what to do.... 15x8 td 1.2 i guess.
I'm just going 16x7 slipstreams. Love the look and I know it's only .5 inch wider than I'm running now but with the 205 tire I'm getting for the slipstreams I'll get some good width. Only running 195/55 now.

I am retired but want to help others the best I can so considering having caliper brackets made from my 11.75" GT rotor BBK and selling just them or providing a full brake package so you do not have to buy a kit and end up with brackets you do not need left over.

The WW BBK can be ordered with the slightly smaller rotors already, that is what I did, drilling the rotor hats for 4x100 does not need to be done at a machine shop as the rotors are hub centric, not stud centric. Stock rear rotors can be drilled DIY as well, same issue, the holes just need to be a bit larger than the studs, just like the stock holes are. That means you can just get 4x100 hubs which is not that costly.

There are 15x8, 11.4lb, 4x100 roll formed wheels that will fit as well as 15x9, 10 and 11" wide, $159 each for the wheels in 15x8 and in stock.

The 15x9 I run are 13.4 lbs, roll formed, $124 each but require a rear camber change or flares.
I will test fit some 15x7 11lb wheels soon to see if fit over my BBK as well.

If you had flares you could run the 15x10 and maybe 11's with the right flares but only race tires are made wide enough in 15's.

Rough estimates:

4x100 conversion, DIY as much as you can, $200
15x8 wheels, $680
Total $880

11.75" GT rotor(race grade) BBK $1200 6 piston red calipers, custom brackets, top quality rotors, pads, SS lines
4x100 conversion 200
15x8 wheels 680 (roll formed low cost 15x9,10 and 11" wheels available, 15x7 for around $480 a set)

I would gladly turn this over to a vendor to make instead and just stay retired, if somebody will do it!

Hi everyone. So bear with me as I'm still a bit of a noob to the forum. I searched a bit and read through this thread and didn't really see anything specific. I see most people are doing autocross or track setups and going to smaller wheels, but in truth, I'll never do either. I'm looking to just make my ride more comfortable without giving up to much performance when I'm driving through the twistiest. This is my daily driver, so I don't plan on doing any suspension or brake mods. Roads are really bad here in NJ/NYC area, so should I consider going to a 16 or 15 wheel and if so, any recommendations? My car came with AS 3 tires which are pretty amazing for an all season. They are also pretty expensive; I know because I got the same ones on my old miata when I had it. Are there any other tire recommendations if I can't get these in the smaller size?

I may end up having to keep the stock wheels because I purchased the 5 year tire/rim warranty not knowing that moving to a smaller/lighter wheel might be a better option. The current setup is manageable, but just considering my options to make the commute more comfortable and any help would be appreciated.

I think I saw you one day in Hoboken. I was driving NJT bus and spoke to you near the bus terminal? You have a single tip exhaust with some stickers in the rear window?

Nope, wasn't me. I have a new Kona Blue and as of right now it's bone stock. Only thing I did was debadge the "Fiesta". I've seen a black FiST parked in Hoboken but never seen the driver and there is a white FoST with a black hood that I see from time to time. I'll PM you so I don't sidetrack the thread.

I want to drop my car on H&R sport springs, but idk if I should go 205/45 or 205/50? Which is a better route? And has anyone dropped on HR's with these tires? Don't want to modify to fit, thanks

And posted many times look at the real specs of each tire, not general and always incorrect 205/45/17, etc as the only constant is wheel diameter when looking at those numbers.

You have to look at the actual section width, tread width, actual tire diameter and then a good idea to look for the lower weight tires that fit your needs.
