There are certainly more tire options available in that size lol. I'd really like to go wider(either 215/45 or 225/45) but the selection of tires available is very small.

Keep in mind the car will be daily driven, mostly highway miles, might try out some autox this summer as well.

Lowered on mountune with anything wider than 205 will rub for sure.

For the record, I can deal with a little bit of rubbing. My last car would rub/scrape basically everywhere because it was very, very low. Lol.

I'm not going in that direction this time around(obviously). I'd actually like to enjoy driving it [emoji12]

. 215 40 17. Ive have not rubbed one bit even on hairpin turn. 225 is too big for this car.

My wheels are 16", not 17".

I might stick with my original plan of going with 215/45/16.

Completed a decent road trip with the 215/45/17's and I can say they feel a bit more stable at high speeds (180km/h) and the car itself feels a bit more planted. That's all subjective though.

Doesn't rub, although I did take a hammer to the rear of the rear wheel well liner to pound it back a bit. With my snow tires (same size but probably measure larger) they rubbed and so I knew I had to do a little something.

215/45/17's - really big dip on the front driver side made it tap the fender liner. So it'll rub under extreme circumstances.

Doing the research right now on running Maxxis RC-1 245/40/15 on 15x9 wheels right now

10" wide is better but none I can find will fit and I have 15x9 wheels which would be better with 225 wide tires except I will soon have much more power, EFR DHM turbo kit and want more tire on the ground up front.

I'll definitely be going 16s next year and either 205/50 or 225/45. But I'll be on stock suspension so I know for sure those choices won't rub.

Thought id chime in on my setup....
Rota Grid 16x7 e42, 205/50/16 bfg sport comp 2.
Bc coilovers dropped 23 3/4" front and 24" rear. Measurement is from center of wheel well to floor. No rubbing whats so ever. Im even considering lowering another 1/4".

I'm going to be running these exact wheels in the above mentioned specs. Just really trying to find a wider tire that will fit even if I have to run spacers.

I found some on ebay but the picture seemed a little sketchy and then I found a website for a store out of CA that says they have some so I'll call tomorrow and hopefully place an order then get some tires.

They're hard to find in 16x7. You can find 16x7 slipstreams all day in 4x108 but not in grids .

Where are you finding 16x7 slipstreams in our bolt pattern all day? I've been looking forever for a set.
