Thanks Eric, the dead pedal looks great and fits perfect! No more wearing out my carpet! =)

I followed ST_JOE's idea and picked up some of those Aqua Seal AS-51 rubber washers from Home Depot along with some red vinyl tape and industrial strength velcro (they have a pack of two 2" x 4" strips that worked perfect to cover all the washers and hold the vinyl in place while going almost the full length of the pedal). I was surprised that the rubber washers pop in like the dead pedal was made for them, great find! Trimming them was easy if you just set the washer on its side then use a razor blade to push it through right at the inside corner of the washer and roll them. It just peeled them of leaving a pretty even cut providing you use a sharp razor blade.

Got a picture? I want to block the holes for winter.

I wanted to share a picture from a member of the local ST FB club. He used something called "simply acrylic" glow in the dark paint inside the ST logos. I think it looks awesome and might have to try it myself also. I love how creative the ST community can be with their modifications!

Ok you can't just post an amazing picture like that and not offer a how to guide... Just not fair.

Haha I haven't tried it myself yet. I need to take a trip to Michael's or Hobby Lobby to find the stuff.
