So just to clarify, what gains would be had for a 91 octane Stage 1 tune going from stock map?

I'm kind of disappointed that I blew my money on the AP3 now, the device is nice but the power from this tune seems unbeatable.
From what I've read in this thread they said the gains on a 91 tune would be give or take 5 whp less than that of a 93 tune...still great gains though....I'm going with a 93 tune because 93 is readily available all around where I live in southwest va

I received my mycalibrator from Livernois on Saturday and emailed the info they need to set up my tune. Going to be running stock with a k&n drop in for now along with the 93 octane performance tune...I'm pumped and ready to feel the power!!

Got my tune onto the FiST yesterday and let me tell ya all I can say is wow....this truely is the best way to spend 600 bucks on this car for sure. REALLY woke up the car in all gears at any rpm past 2 grand or so....most of the gains I can feel on the butt dyno are between about 2500 and 5....but even past 5 although it drops off it does feel like it pulls harder than stock to 6500 redline. Car is an animal compared to stock and the op review on how it feels compared to stock is very on point. Stock the car feels like it falls on its face every time you snatch a gear for a second before it begins building steam again....with the livernois 93 octane tune the car pulls HARD past 5 even to redline its improved. The car will actually break the tires loose in 2nd gear from a roll. Power comes on pretty smooth and drivability is very much like stock. I really can't see a downside....have not had it on long enough to compare mpgs but from what I've read I should see an increase of around 2 mpg if I can stay off of it. The biggest difference is in the first couple gears....the way boost is managed stock it basically neuters the car in this area especially. With this tune it slams you in the seat and on the 1-2 shift its night and day...car spins em hard going into 2nd and there is some torque steer but its not overly bad and its manageable and quite frankly should be expected with these kinds of torque gains on an otherwise stock FiST. Still waiting on my drop in k&n to arrive I will report back to see if I notice anything there but the car was tuned with that in mind. All in all I say if you can do it definately do it. I understand all the love for the ap3 because of the features it has and the fact you can run all the ots maps as well as getting pro tuned and e tuned and all that other stuff that comes with it...I had a hard time choosing but I for sure feel like I made the right choice. If you are like me and plan on keeping the car relatively stock other than the tune and maybe intake/exhaust for while until possibly going bigger turbo down the road and you just want to upload a tune that can really make a huge difference in power across the board this is definitely the tune for you. It comes with free updates for life as well so when I do get that catless dp down the road I can get a free update for that....they say as far as intake and cat back the tune can basically adjust itself to account for that additional airflow. Since boost is increased I would recommend an upgraded front mount and a dp just for the sake of more longevity and more consistency as that is something I'm looking into in the future for sure. That will also get me ready for the future turbo upgrade. You may not see a whole lot more in terms of power with these mods as this tune probably maxes out most of the potential of the stock turbo but I hear with a dp you do see decreased turbo lag and torque gains below 3500 (as if we need any more there but it is fun lol). All in all I'm super happy and I highly recommend livernois for anyone who just wants to keep the car relatively stock for a while and feel a big boost in power and torque with just a simple upload the tune and forget it type deal. Let us know if you can coax the wife into letting you get this awesome tune and keep us updated!

Thanks, now I really have to lay it on.. I need this in my life! I HATE how the car feels on a hard 1-2 shift. It falls on its face for a split second and then pulls. I want to rip the tires off in second gear!!! I need this!

if you want it to rip the tires off in second gear this tune is what you want LOL! trust me it will do just that...hell itll spin em from a roll in 2nd gear when boost comes on like if you are already moving and in the gear...it's a WORLD of difference..it's one of those things that you know is going to be a big difference but when it's actually on YOUR car...and you feel it YOURSELF...it's a totally different story ;)

How come your site says "Gains of over 55hp and 33tq on your otherwise stock vehicle" under product information? Is that a typo? Are the gains still about 40hp and 70tq?

I wouldnt worry too much with the numbers...just know it improves the car in every way and it is definately noticeably faster for sure and well worth the coin.

I am "worried" a little bit about the numbers. I'm trying to compare this Livernois to other pro tune like options. I'm trying to find more dynos that show completely stock vs stock except for Livernois tune. I've seen I think only 2? One of them had a 30hp and 50tq gain.

Another question I have for Livernois is will they do a dyno tune if I drive to their shop. That gives a better chance of getting the 40hp and 70tq gain.

The OP appears to have been dyno tuned at Livernois. My concern is that everyone else's gains actually aren't quite the same but of course I could be wrong. I'd like to see more dyno graphs of others but it is what it is.

I agree, which is why I'm comparing them all, or at least trying to. I see you have Stratified. What made you go with that versus say this Livernois?
Hey I'm with you completely....I've seen three dynos the op dyno and two others. One did 194 and 248 on the 91 tune with a downpipe the other did 194 and 253 stock with a dirty air filter. That's pretty solid numbers in my book. I will dyno as soon as I get a chance to see where I'm at. Every dyno and every car is different as you know and these cars could have started lower from the start as the op dynoed high for stock from the beginning (184 and 212 I believe) so overall peak to peak gains and across the. Board is about the same im sure and that's every bit as good if not better than any of the other tuners based on what ive seen. Livernois really knowd the ecoboost cars well and are known for getting more power than anyone else from all of them for years. They don't have the sexy known name (when it comes to imports etc) and don't use the ap3 to tune with and that has a lot to do with why more people don't use them. Unless you plan to change things up a lot, tune yourself, or eventually run a tune for an e mix I believe Livernois to be the best choice out there....hence why I went with them....I'm very happy with my choice and would do the same again if I could do it over. Good luck with your decision!

Yeah, that's why I only look at the difference to see the actual gains. I don't care too much about the actual hp and tq number except to compare the before and after tune numbers (and preferably stock other than that) to see what the gains are for the tune itself. I wish there was more dynos showing that comparison.

Hopefully, Livernois chimes in with the couple questions I asked above.

I agree as well I too wish there were more before and after info. My butt dyno tells me there's a big difference between stock and tuned but the butt dyno can be off I suppose haha. But as far as seat of the pants feel...its great. I have gotten used to having the power now as I've logged nearly as many miles post tune (1600-1700) as I did pre tune (2800) but I still love it ..I remember the day I uploaded the tune and took it for a drive and got into it hard the first time and smiling like a little kid on Christmas morning after getting his favorite toy he wanted when I was rowing through the gears the first time or two. I just kept saying "wow I can't believe a tune made this much difference!". It just pulls so hard compared to stock and does not feel neutered in the first couple gears any longer....I absolutely love it

Are these at the wheel Hp or at the crank Hp?

We are always available for a dyno tune! Any of you that are interested in our tuning can opt for a dyno tuning session as opposed to a remote tune. Typically, the gains to be had are slight at best. Usually within 2-3% from a remote tune. We routinely purchase several new vehicles every 6-10 months, and this only supplements all of the client vehicles that we modify.

All of the power numbers that we advertise whether they are stock of modified will be wheel hp/tq numbers.

All of you are welcome to come an attend our DYNO DAY 2016!

Thanks for the reply! The other question may have been overlooked. Are we looking at around 40hp and 70tq gains still? And if we don't get a dyno tune, everyone should be within 2-3% of those gains? Are the numbers on your site just a mistake? (says "Gains of over 55hp and 33tq on your otherwise stock vehicle" under Product Information)
