Started out as a thermostat job then got carried away IMG_6664.jpeg figured I was this close let’s just pull the trans and install a LSD IMG_6667.jpeg IMG_6669.jpeg didn’t realize how close you actually have to go to get the trans out from just being able to pull the motor. Hindsight should have just pulled the whole unit together would have been easier than fighting that trans out. IMG_6842.jpeg IMG_6848.jpeg IMG_6849.jpeg Figured he’ll I’m this far might as well paint it. 3 hours of hand/buffing sanding later IMG_6852.jpeg IMG_6854.jpeg IMG_6857.jpeg then I was thinking well damn that came out nice to bad no one is gonna be able to see it. So I relocated the battery to the trunk. And ordered a 2j cowl intake. To remove the battery box and air box. But I had to figure out what to do with the ECM and the battery positive fuses. So I made this IMG_6814.jpeg IMG_6815.jpeg IMG_6810.jpeg then I thought to myself might well I’m this far I’ve always wanted to go big turbo. So I ordered a S280,whoosh manifold, and 4 port aux fuel with some other odds and ends. I also noticed I had a valve cover leak. So I just decided to pull the rest of the motor IMG_6881.jpeg IMG_6914.jpeg IMG_6879.jpeg started pulling things apart waiting for the parts to come in the decided hell might as well paint some more stuff to kill time and install my aux fuel block IMG_6925.jpeg started getting impatient so I put the trans back on the engine and put it back in the car so I could hook up the split second controller and harness IMG_6946.jpeg IMG_6966.jpeg turbo, mani, studs, and the 2j came in. Should have left the engine out to do the turbo and manifold. But that’s what I get for being impatient. IMG_7021.jpeg IMG_7022.jpeg Man she looks pretty in there IMG_7023.jpeg IMG_6976.jpeg got every thing installed I didn’t take many pictures on the final day as i was under a time crunch. The 2j was a real pain in the butt everything else wasn’t to bad I got the split second controller all hooked up everything looked over bleed the clutch installed axles. This winter I’ll take everything back out and attempt wire tuck and bay shave but this is what it is now. IMG_7030.jpeg IMG_7031.jpeg IMG_7032.jpeg IMG_7033.jpeg Just about everything I installed in the list below IMG_7035.jpeg now I’m waiting for my base tune from stratified.hopefully this winter I can get the block sleeved and built. Want to give a shout out to stratified for the help they gave me along with Ron over at whoosh for the help. Thanks for reading let me know what your guys thoughts are.

Nice work. This reminds me of a thread on another car forum where a guy started by cleaning up some rusty bolts, and ended up taking his whole car apart.

Thats how I felt. Half way through I was like what did I just get myself into. Can’t wait to see what it feels like. I would love to rip the outer skin off the hood and plexiglass over the inner hexagrams
