I've read the threads about the difference between the two suspension versions basically reading that 2016 up has softer ride. I was curious if anyone has any input on which has better suspension for on track performance? I own a 2014 thought it would be quite cheap(maybe even free) for me to grab parts off a 2016+ for better track performance. I don't care for the softer ride but if the package all together handles better and is faster on track I'll definitely take it!

From the research I've done I could only find the differences between them being listed here. Springs are softer and sway bar/torsian beam are stiffer in the 2016+. I've also found some members who've driven both mention that the 2016+ cars feel more controllable at the limit and less harsh. Overall from my guestimating it seems the updated suspension is better. I'd definitely try one of the newer cars if I ever get a chance to test drive one

I also tried looking for an answer, but I couldn’t find anything. I posted in one of the Facebook groups. But no one replied.

So I just assumed Ford did it to make the fiesta more comfortable to daily drive.

thanks for replying.
