Hey y'all,

I own a 16 Fiesta ST, and the first engine mod I'm looking to do is an intake, mostly for the turbo choo choo noises. I know whoosh has a good rep but I just wanted to hear of anybody's experiences with the V2 short ram intake kit (https://whooshmotorsports.com/colle...s-v2-short-ram-intake-kit-2014-2019-fiesta-st) in particular.

My main concerns are reliability (i.e. filter quality) and how much intake temps might rise as a result of the mod. Also, how effective was it at bringing out good induction/turbo noises? Thanks!

I will let you know when I get it. I have one ordered right now but they are waiting for MAF housings to come in this week and then they can ship.

Sweet, I bought it a few days ago and I was wondering what the shipping delay was. I'll probably do a detailed write up on here once I get it

Looks like an HAI (hot air intake). A ram intake would be one that takes air directly from in front of the vehicle, before the A/C condenser and radiator. Sometimes you see them replacing fog or other light. If they're not on the front then they just have to be in the path of the air flowing into/around the vehicle. Sometimes they're snatching air from in front of the condenser and radiator or hood or fender(s).

I have one on, not as cold as my st200 intake but does make more noises. I see a 4-5 degrees above air temp compared to 1-2 degrees for the st200 airbox at cruising speed, also take longer to cool down after a pull.

Parts were supposed to come in last week according to Whoosh. I have not received any update on it. Kind of upsetting.

Ended up having the first version of the Short Ram with the foam Ramair filter sent instead of waiting for the V2. I have 2 words to say… Turbo Noises. It was even louder than I expected. Fairly simple install, and didn’t get any sort of CEL or anything. So now I have 2 pieces of the modular induction system. Intake temps went up a little bit not bad. IMG_6130.jpeg

Nice. I emailed Ron about shipment and he offered me the V1 as well, but I decided to wait it out because I assumed the V2 would be slightly better performance-wise. Very glad to hear that it brings out the turbo noises. Induction/turbo noises were really all I was looking for in an intake, so as long as the temps don't get too high, I'm happy with it.
