removing the flex in the mounts transferred stress to the next weakest link? Or was something floating around in the gearbox that shouldn't have been.

So I've been playing around and everything feels perfect in my transmission. I did the cable Adjustment as recommended by the group. No change but it was super easy so why not. My gear shifter feels like reverse is fully engaged, but as soon as I release the clutch it kicks out of gear. I can hold the shifter in position and lightly feather the clutch to reverse the car. That's gonna have to be good enough for the next few months till it cools off here in AZ. There is no way I'm pulling the trans in 110f+ weather.
Did you find what the problem was I'm having the same issue

I just started having the same problem yesterday, and today I took it to a tech and he disassembled and tried to manually put it in reverse, but it won’t even go in fully. It grinds like crazy when letting the clutch out and just want to come out of gear. Looks like the reverse synchro is damaged and will need a new transmission.

So my car decided it didn't want to go into reverse anymore today. I've installed an LSD lightweight flywheel and spec clutch about 10,000 mi ago 100% problem free untill today. But today when I went to back into my driveway it felt like the transmission was kicking the gear selector out of gear when I started to release the clutch. Has anybody else had a similar issue? Everything else is working perfectly all the foward gears are great reverses my only issue.
Try and neutral reset on your shifting cables. If this does not work. Do not drive it until it grenades your good gearbox from your reverse synchro giving out. I recommend getting a rebuilt transmission, far stronger with Clarkes Transmission. Everything will be tougher and will shift smoother. With your LSD and everything it'll only be like 2k with you shipping your gearbox out, vs 7k if you blow it.

When my 2nd replacement from fomoco went after warranty, i went with Colby Clarke and did all the BElls and whistles. Shifting it now is spectacular thanks to carbon fiber synchros. No more wheel hop with the Wavetrac also. [driving]
