let me guess, Fiesta owners need this because.. they don't know how to access the system settings to turn off the traction control.. or the Fiesta settings doesn't have this option in the first place. True the settings aren't saved and you'll need to turn back off if you restart the car.. or at least thats how it is for the van..

It's because it's annoying to press the button every single time we get into the car. That's it. A lot of us prefer to drive with the traction control off. If you've upped the power of your engine you run into traction control quite a bit. It also, possibly, saves brake pads.

@JDG, if you don't have the time/desire to do this I can build them and ship em. I'd just need a parts list. I could probably do 10-20 of them just so I could have my own, lol.

@Cneu Agreed, but We've grown accustom to doing this anyway with the ESS system. Not that I turn off the traction control that often. hell I haven't even turned on the cruise control in four years on the van. Guess cause we take too many backroads where one can't actually use the cruise control.

Just wanted to throw it in here again, if you’re handy enough to do it yourself, I’ve outlined how to accomplish the same thing, including all the correct pins and connectors. I’ve used a programmable timer module instead of the microcontroller, but you can also substitute a simpler time delay relay:

It’s a convenience feature, and the Fiesta traction control is a lot more aggressive and abrupt in yaw control than some other cars I’ve driven, so it does get pretty tedious turning it off every single time.

The version I did is wired for Sync3, but my understanding is the difference is in which pins the TC switch is wired to
