I am going through the E-tune process with Adam from MAP and we are almost complete with the 91 tune. I am coming from a stage 3 Protune from Cobb SoCal that had some unfortunate complications do to model year ecu changes but Ian and Antolin provided great customer support and made sure everything was taken care of.

I decided to try an E-Tune from Adam after reading up on his blog and seeing that he has been putting in the time on this specific platform along with some very high HP ecoboost Mustangs.

I received my basemap and immediately couldn't believe the difference in drivability, the spool up is amazing and the car responds so much better in everyday driving, power comes on much quicker than the OTS map. There has always been a slight bog/lack of power between gear changes and it is 95% gone now, I always chalked it up to the 1.6L.

I was very surprised how much cleaner the tune feels, boost holds longer than the OTS map and WOT feels much more consistent and strong throughout the rev-range.

I am also extremely impressed how quickly Adam responds to datalogs and questions, I tried to deal with another E-Tuner once before but it was over a week wait between emails and just aborted it.
When I first contacted Adam he asked for a datalog and then responded with a graph that showed the trouble areas with my tune and how he would correct the issues and what I could expect gain.

Overall I am extremely happy with the tune and now we are moving on to an ethanol tune! I will follow up with the results of that as well.

Rob.

That sounds like a great experience man. I'm waiting to go stage 2 (dhm intercooler soon!) until I get my e tune from Mountune and randy; where I bought my AP from.

Keep us updated on this progress!

I was mostly surprised with the drivability! Its not very often you are just WOT so when you get so much more power down low it really makes such a big difference in everyday driving.

Great update Rob. Seems Adam is busy with lots of tunes right now, but still manages to stay on top of things, great to hear.

Maybe one day I'll pay someone to tune my car, lol, I'll prob be pretty mad at myself for not doing it sooner because I'm positive I'm not doing the hardware justice...

Appreciate the feedback Rob. It has been a pleasure working with you! Now get some Ethanol in that tank so we can make some more power!

I'll throw myself into the pit as well. Been doing Ecoboost E-tuning for a bit now and have a ton of happy customers and power records with other platforms. Here is a quick look at the results I've had with our completely stock Fiesta ST. The graph below shows stock tune vs Cobb Stage 1 tune, vs Our Stage 1 tune. And just for fun I threw in my E30 tune versus my 93 Stage 1 Tune graph.

And E30 Stage 1 vs 93 Stage 1.

I'll give 50% off the E-tune price in return for some feedback, just drop me a pm if you are interested. Pricing can be found in my signature!

I just switched from the Cobb Stage 1 93 Oct AP tune to the mapperformance tune, and wow what a difference it makes. There is so much more low end power. I highly recommend anyone who has an AP get their tune, or buy the AP through them.

I appreciate it! I saw your email come through but unfortunately left my Cobb key at the shop. I'll have a look in the morning and send you over a revision if needed!

Glad you like it, it is definitely a strong tune for near stock vehicles!

It'd be nice if boost pressures for each tune were included in the graphs. Any reason why they're not shown?

I don't use the dyno boost pressure sensor because it is inaccurate, I use the actual data from the car. Here are the boost curves of each tune.

Stock Tune:

Cobb Stage 1 Tune:

MAP Stage 1 Tune:

MAP E30 Stage 1 Tune:
