Those wheels are really cool, what are they?
Compomotive TH Rally wheels. Model TH1570. 15x7 et40. Came off a Scottish rally car. Sapphire Cosworth.

I bought them 20 years ago. Had them in the shed. I was going to put them on my XR4Ti but sold them to a woman with an ST. She sold the car but never put the wheels on. I asked her one day if she still had them. No reply. I kept emailing her. One day months later she gets back to me that they are at her parents house and she sold her ST. Sure she would sell them back to me.

Went and got them. Dropped them off for powder coating. Bought some decals from the UK. Put Nitto NT05 on them. I’m putting coil overs on tonight and raising the car up to stock. Mud flaps next.

I’m all about space between tire and body now.

Yeah, those decals make them look a lot like the original OZ Ford Motorsport tarmac rally wheels on the Group A/WRC Escort Cosworth RSes/WRCs, but those were only available in an 18x8 size for our PCD and useable offset.

Kudos to Compomotive for replicating that wheel so closely, and to you for making it look so much like the original, save for the size. [twothumb]

It’s not a replica wheel. It’s a 40 year old wheel that was used extensively in motorsport. That wheel size is meant for Group N rally. The decals are just my idea. The OZ wheel is similar yes but most of those old wheels are bent or burnt. Hard to find these days.

That is seriously cool, I really like the look. I was hoping you were going to tell me they were readily available wheels I can buy. :ROFLMAO:

There was another guy on here that had wheels from a Citroën rally car, also looked great.

I only meant that Compomotive came really close to the look/aesthetics/design of that original OZ wheel used on the tarmac Escort Cosworth rally cars, and did not mean to imply that they were necessarily attempting to copy that design per se.

Yes, they are a true motorsport wheel company, and I even had a set of their custom drilled PCD, MO5s on my '90 T-Bird SC (of all things! LOL).

Just like Revolution was the 'go-to' gravel wheel for all of the SCCA Pro Rally competitors piloting the myriad Mk2 GTIs way back in the day.
