Fiesta ST Wheel Size, Bolt Pattern, Offset & Tire Information

Always a personal choice, but keep in mind when you go wider at the same ratio you DO get a bit more sidewall as well... I'm hoping 215/40/17, even in limited tire selection, will be perfect on the OEM wheels with an additional .3" of sidewall to go along with 10mm wider of course. Won't looked stretched at 7" wide, should be nice!

Looks good, meaty tires on a Fiesta are super cool IMO. Also, your factory tires are Bridgestones, not Pirelli's

Don't know why I said Pirelli. I think I was on a Pirelli kick looking for new tires. I knew they were Potenza's....just brain farted.

Yes, they do. Suspension/ride height is stock. When I am a little too over zealous entering or exiting a steep enough driveway, they do rub, but only for an instant. If I don't drive like a turd in/out of a driveway, there is no problem. Hard cornering, even when braking, there is no rubbing. Turning radius seems normal. I can go all the way till the steering wheel stops with no rubbing.

I did look at 215/40/17, but they were all over $100/tire for what I was looking for in performance/longevity. The Riken's ran $70/tire. I will probably fork over the extra cash for the next set and go with a 40 series.

Originally, Tire Rack wouldn't send the tires. They have service reps that analyse what car you have and if the tires you ordered will fit. Didn't know that until after they sent me an email about 3 days after the order. I had to send one back saying what wheels I did have on the car. The order was shipped the same day.

So, apparently they wouldn't fit the OEM wheels. Double check the fit with 215/40's at a local tire shop before you buy (if you purchase them online).

Huh, this size is done all the time on stock wheels, in fact, they help the tire not be as stretched... I'm not ordering from Tire Rack, they don't carry 215/40/17 in what I want anyway, likely Nitto Neo Gen for about $375/set on SimpleTire...

Most of the available 215/40-17s list a 7" wide wheel as the lowest width possible to use for that size.

Yep, I would be going 7.5" if/when I buy new wheels, but think I'll be fine with my black OEM ones for a while as long as I stay at that tire size...

Just picked up some BFG Sport Comp IIs in 215/45/17 on stock wheels with Bilstein PSS 14s all the way up. Seem to be doing quite well. A little nicer on bumpy roads. Pics to follow.

No rubbing on stock height? I was planning on the 215 part at least, that will give you a touch more sidewall too, but I'm gonna do some Eibach springs so I don't think I could push to 45 series too...

I'm getting tires in about a month. I dont drive very much anymore and rarely in the rain. Witch one of these would yall chose?

I know they are different but looking for some cheap grip. Other recommendations will be researched.

From all that I've read, the Firestones are the way to go.

My used '14 had a set on it when I bought it. They are rebranded Bridgestones.

However, I'm swapping them out for a set of General G-MAX AS-05s for the winter. I've already experienced first-hand how poorly the Firestones grip when the temps drop.

I have 17x8 wheels with 215/40/17 and I'm lowered on MeisterR coilovers, probably a 1-2 in drop front and back and don't rub. So I can't speak for the Eibach springs, but if it's close to mine you can definitely fit 40 series, but 45 will likely rub.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the Eibach are only a 0.8" drop and most coilovers are usually a minimum drop of 1.2", so indeed I shouldn't have any problems going either 215 or 45 but doing both would probably be pushing it even with more mild drop springs.

M2 Kit - what to use...

Soooo.... I am planning on getting the M2 flare kit (whenever it is going to appear on our shores) and cutting the fenders. Anybody with a knowledge what's the widest rim/tire combo I can fit and, most importantly, that would clear the calipers?

An important info here: I have converted to 4x100 bolting pattern and am running 16" x 7" rims with a +40 offset on a Wilwood BBK. This "just clears" the calipers, so much so that I have to put the balancing weights closer to the inside of the rim. My preference would be to keep the 16" or even step down to 15", if that makes any sense or provides a combination of dimensions for which tires are available. To that end, I suppose a more accurate question would be - what is the widest tire/rim combo for which tires don't cost $250 a pop...

Please share your experience or suggestions!

I just purchased the Rota Titan a couple days ago. They are 17x8+40offset. With stock suspension still, was planning on getting some 215/40/17 to wrap them in. But was wondering if 215/45/17 will fit without rubbing issues? Thanks in advance

Not with springs. I’ve noticed a little rubbing now on steep speed bumps or steep quick elevation changes and once on a super fast corner. If I drive it like I did my stock 89 Trans Am it’s fine.

15" and bigger fit. Offset +38 and up is good. Stock is +47.5. No wider than 8".
A preferable tire size is 185/60/15. Tire rack sells a steelie set up.
I am on 15x7 +42 with 195/55/15. Our bolt pattern is 4x108. Sucks that it's not 4x100 or better yet, 5x114.

Yup. Lots of people run the Tire Rack steel wheels or the stock basic fiesta steel wheels.
Btw, you can also try looking for four lug focus wheels, they can go quite cheap and are the same bolt pattern.
