I attended last April, get to go back July 27th and 28th. Can't wait! Such a great place...this time I hope to not be nearly as distracted by the mountains as I was the first time.
I had a great time on 6/11. I took US-6 across Nevada, which was much more interesting than grinding up I-15, and it wasn't significantly slower. Have fun when you go!

Ya I changed my mind on the drive as it would wind up being a whole week combined. I am flying in for $128 round trip car rental is only $78 If I drove it would be at least two extra night hotel stays minimum somewhere and gas would cost as much as my flight and car rental. Unless I decided to run the car on reg. Lol
Saving time and money by flying. I have to many other trips going on this year anyways. I just got back from a week a Chicago. Planning on going to Austin in Nov for the F1 and possibly Detroit in early sep with a possible stop in Chicago. And trips to the bay.
Add in Japan and Montreal next spring and ya kinda running around already.
It ended when they quit selling the Fiesta ST. I participated in the last year of it since we bought one of the last 2019 cars. We went in April 2020 to Charlotte--the weekend the shutdown started.

ya I think you guys gotta kinda cheated Charlotte does not compare to MMP aka Utah motorsports park. Which has two totally serious main road courses. Of course we got cheated in 19 ( ya I could not schedule an 18 slot they were already full up) because the t 14-15 and I am not sure after that go the big dinner at Ken Blocks! Ours was just in the main room with the display cars at Miller. They also stopped doing the Go Karts on the go kart track which was apparently, a thing in the early years

We especially got cheated because everything shut down. We got there early to do a little touring. While checking in to the hotel the TV behind the front desk had the governor ordering the shutdown. It was pi day (we were there in March, not April as I said above) so I wanted to get some pie for dessert. Everything was closed except the Country Kitchen, so we had pie there. The next morning we went to the Charlotte Speedway to look around and go to the museum but the museum was closed. So we went to the gift shop. While we were picking out t-shirts the lady at the counter got a phone call from Bruton Smith telling her to hustle everybody out and close the shop until further notice. After that we tried calling all the places we had wanted to see. The Billy Graham museum was still open so we went there, and then we found an old plantation that was still having tours. That was out in Mecklenburg County so we also self-toured the grounds of an old church and graveyard that had graves from way before the Declaration of Independence. And in fact was a site of the Mecklenburg Declaration which predated the one from 7/4/1776. And there was a BBQ place nearby that hadn't gotten word to shut down yet so we got a good meal there. But after that there was nothing open in the city. Or on the way home except for some McDonald's drive-thrus.
