Obscure must-have mods

Are there any underrated mods off the beaten path that have good value? I know all the typical things but stuff like odd bushings here and there that aren’t super loud but good bang for the buck, or a brace that should’ve been there oem or whatever? Just curious. Every car platform has its warts so maybe things that are seen more as corrections rather than mods?

for instance, my CTS-V had a horrendous shifter and a squishy ass end because of subframe bushings and motor mounts that failed every 20k miles. Where are the FiST warts?

(I’m new here and my car is shipping to me soon)

Looks like a great solution. How’s airflow around it?
I hardly ever use ac but seems to be alright when I used it the other day during testing. I made a tab that’s angled towards the driver to help a little. I might make a second plate that raises it above the vent for people who may want more airflow.

I live in NC now. But I just always had windows down. Only time I used ac was on the rainy days and or days when heat index was 100 or more. I was born and raised in Florida and was always outside so just got used to it lol. It’s definitely not for everyone. I’m working on another backplate that raises the AP above the vent so it can be more used, for all the folks that like their ac. Initial prototype has held up very well this week with not dismounting or rattling noises so I believe it could be an excellent solution and one that’s low cost since you can just print at home or I could print for people with one of my 5 printers.

Just moved here in may. In between statesville and hickory! Also in the attachment is a little redesign to raise the AP up about 35mm; Alittle over half way up the vent so the bottom half of vent directs towards the driver.

I've decided on a proper first gear ratio. About 2.81:1. You won't see it (the mod) but when I accelerate in first you'll see it. Elite in Stoke-On-Trent is going to build me a gearset.

I've seen no one do this mod nor is it available anywhere. The Sierra Cosworth has a 2.95 first gear and 3.64 rear diff. It weighs the same as a Fiesta and is about 2 inches longer. 200bhp and it accelerates fantastic in first. Fiesta IB6 final drive is 3.82. 2.81:1 works out the same as a Cossie 2.95.
