Not done just today, but over the course of about 3 weeks. Installed S280, +30 injectors, and Whoosh short ram intake. Turbo took about 6 hours, def can be done in 3 or less. Injectors took about an hour. I spend some time cleaning out the seats and general area they sit in. Intake took about 20min. On revision 2 so far.

Today I cleaned the fins of my intercooler, they were surprisingly dirty. It's been very hot the last few days and charge air temps idling in hot traffic stayed about 10-20dg over ambient @ 106-117dg (96 ambient) and about 6-10dg over ambient once moving. I've been thinking about an intercooler sprayer. Worked great on the Evo back in the day. I'll see what the fin cleaning does once I get back out there.

thanks @Intuit. I've come across that thread - seems like at least one of the slides will have to be honed out.
Always service in pairs... both rears or both fronts. With my prior car, though there was definite improvement because it wasn't literally an annual thing anymore, I had to do this in two stages because I didn't remove enough from the bore on the first go-round. After that second time, never had to touch them again for the remaining time of ownership. (at least a few more pad changes)

Oh, one other thing I did was change out the EBC green stuff pads I've had for about 2 months to OEM performance pads. The Green Stuff suck ass. They faded like no other, smelled like truck brakes after one aggressive stop, and left brake dust that sticks like glue. Ruined my wheels for easy cleaning. Going to have to remove them and really clean them with something powerful that won't take the black paint off. OEM pads are so much better.

^^^Yeah, that's why I am sticking with the OEM summer pads for my first brake replacement since owning this car new (had the factory 'all season' pads on until now, they lasted for 8 years/46K miles) until someone can prove to me that any of the various aftermarket pads are any better for daily street use. I used Green Stuff pads about 30 years ago on my Civic. I heard the new equivalent is the Blue Stuff, but I decided to go back to OEM cause I loved how they felt. Great initial bite and surprisingly fade free even when driving aggressive. I'm with you^^^!

I loved the OEM performance pads but man they don't hold up to daily mountain driving. I was getting less than 6 months out of them.

I have not found a pad that felt like those but also could last my commute for more than a few months.

I figured out my mount issue, the rubber band broke and allowed the mount insert to slide out of place. I just shoved it back in there and resecured it with a zip tie. I also found that OEM torque spec is a bit lacking for the mount to body bolts. One of them was backing out so it got a copious amount of loctite.

^^^How difficult is it to get to the drain valve/hose on that setup, or do you have to remove the whole thing in order to drain it?
seems I have to take it off the bracket and take the lines off to drain it. But the dipstick hole is pretty big imma just gonna suck it out

Threw on a airtech crankcase catch can, it was a pretty tight fit with the blow off and the evap harness.

I notice you have the HKS SSQV Black edition. I have the same one. Do you know if they offer inserts for changing the sound? I don't mind the sound it comes with, but was wondering if they have attachments like the old SSQV's.

I wonder how much will end up in the crankcase side. Keep us posted! May inspire me to install the radium one I’ve had for 3 years and done nothing with
I will! I did notice when I took off my stock turbo there was some crud on the turbo inlet so maybe that will help preventing some of that but I’m also curious how much oil it will pick up

I belive they do, I saw another ST I belive a focus that changed the insert but it changed the note of the blow off, like it no longer had that high pitched blow off sound.

Installed an aftermarket inter-cooler I got off ebay. It comes with a splash guard which I was able to use, but not sure where the so called wind deflector is supposed to go. The fit was perfect once i pushed down the middle tab enough so it had a downward slope.

Took it for a short spin around the block, and I am NOT liking the 93 octane stage 2 tune from Cobb. It made some horrible noises under the hood and was not very smooth when compared to the stage 1 - 91 octane tune.
I'm going to try the Stage 2 - 91 tune tomorrow and hopefully it's better.

Green stuff is supposedly equivalent to OEM style pads compound wise. I think. The ford OEM pads were excellent. I currently run EBC yellow in my Tarox BBK and they are awesome. Too much dust but a little wheel acid and little elbow grease keeps the wheels looking new. I use to have EBC Reds and didn’t like them, the bite sucked and they dusted almost as much as my yellows. I also tried Hawk ceramics had way less dust and more bite than the reds, i definitely recommend those.

Fixed a window chip for the first time using one of the many window kits, and I believe it turned out okay. Window chip repairs are free with insurance, but I did not want to make an insurance claim.
