Car is 100% ready for my annual trip to the Dragon. I used to cruise down in my CRZ and meet some other CRZ owners for a weekend of fun at the Dragon. Looks like Ill be the only one in a domestic turbo 4 cyl. Should be tons of fun. Even managed to find some BP-20 pads for my Wilwood brakes so car should stop on a dime. Ill be making a short stop near back of the Dragon before I get to the real Dragon. Once I get back from the trip Ill focus my efforts on the CRV to get it looking clean and riding smooth.

Hit me up if you cruise through the Boone or Banner Elk area on your way down. I don’t have the fist up here but I’ll meet ya somewhere for a blue ridge cruise.

Ill be staying about 3 hr away from that area in the Fontana Dam area. The group I have been coming down with usually take the back side of the Dragon from near Knoxville, TN. I might be going through your area on my way home though. I usually take 81 all the way back to northern VA.

Ill be near Tazewell, VA which is about 2 hr from your area from Monday till Wed if you feel like meeting me and doing a cruise on back of the Dragon.

^^^Did the mounting tabs all line up perfectly on the Kyorad?

When I get an aftermarket radiator, this is the one I want, but I wish I knew that it is even a (split) hair better (i.e.; more efficient, especially at idle in the heat) than the Mountune, or not.
Not trying to be a dick but maybe I am. When are you just gonna end up doing the mods you want and stop "talking" about them. I've been on this forum for almost a decade now and it seems you are always trying to decide on mods and blah blah blah. Just do it already!

I've been using my mishimoto for over 6 years now without a problem and I beat the crap out of my FiST! It is just a radiator. Track, rallyx, street...so many different applications. Just DO IT!

OK, FINE, I will stop talking about them from now on, satisfied??

YOU were one of the last ones on here I would have expected this type of attack/'diss' from, but oh well. [:(] [thumbdown]

In my current situation it is not as easy as pulling into a driveway, garage, or car port like it is for (almost) everyone else on here, and "just doing it already", and I am NOT a certified wrench so there is NO facility I can use after hours, at all.

Seems that you could find better marks to pick on/vent your discontent about in the posts on this site, especially given it was an older post anyway. [wink]

Yes, older post. DUDE, just go ahead and spend the money before you aren't able to physically/mentally able to enjoy it. Seriously. Almost 10 years! I feel like it's a grandson/grandfather discussion here. It absolutely tears my heart to say it like this. JUST DO IT!

I might be getting to the point where I just do not care about any extra performance from any mods anymore, and the car as it sits (until it needs repairs/maintenance) is just fine for the street only driving I now use it for.

I could not afford the fines, or increased insurance rates/potential license loss (I need to be able to drive to help my dad) for the trouble I would be tempted to get into on the streets with the increased power from mods anyway, so WTF do them?!?

I am starting to care much more about my health, and physical exercise at my almost 70 years of age, over modding this ride so that I CAN be "physically/mentally able to enjoy it", yes, even in it's yes (mostly) STOCK form.

As a favor to you, and any others on here who are soooo bothered by it, I will refrain from doing any more 'if/when' posts from now on, and will only comment if someone asks about a minor specific mod I have already done, and seeks an opinion about such.

But I am NOT going to go back and search for any 4+ month old posts and delete them for your (or anyone else's) sake. [wink] [nono]

Been thinking about this exchange. I’ve only been around here for 2 years, but I know that @M-Sport fan is a valued and longtime member of this community. And so is @haste.

So far as I can tell, some are great at builds and tuning. Others (perhaps like myself!) tend to be more armchair mechanics - life or circumstances get in the way, but it’s fun to learn about the cars even if we don’t get to wrench under them as often as we’d like.

Hope the community has space for both types.

Burped my coolant that I didn't do fully the other day (And I have to say, I was suspicious of distilled water and Water Wetter but I'm a convert, sat at 185-190 on the highway even with pulls the entire way), got my 100+ miles on my S280 as requested by Dizzy, and retroactively since I was busy clogging up the S280 thread at the time with my being uncertain, installed the S280 and Whoosh 3" catted downpipe over a couple days. Honestly kind of wish I had saved my money and got the catless downpipe, seeing as the catted one still throws P0420, it didn't even save me a CEL! Also on the hunt for a CEL Defender or similar for the Turbosmart BOV, since that code keeps popping now too.

I saw your post about it while looking around, was shipping reasonable? The ones I see so far are either "may not ship to the US" or 100 AUD, but maybe I just need to keep looking

Nvm, I posted this and the one recommended to me under the one I was looking at was 57 USD shipped lol. Went ahead and grabbed it
