It appears that my BOV blew apart from the top and straight into my hood. I bought the car with it already installed and I'm having trouble identifying a replacement that goes in the same spot, it seems Turbosmart has a new model that attaches to the turbo and I can't find anything that goes on the symposer where this one was installed. I'm a noob and at a loss so any help would be awesome, thanks.

Many of the aftermarket BOVs can be put in the symposer location . . . that's where I have mine. Most will convert the BOV from electric to vacuum activated.

Is there a MAP reference hose running to the intake manifold?

It looks like there is a hose that runs from after the MAF then splits into two that goes into the intake before the BOV and after the throttle body.

So, there's not a hose sitting loose that might have been connected to the BOV before it exploded?
Thanks for the quick replies. After a bit of investigation, I found both the hose in question and the top of the BOV. Is it possible for me the stick the spring and plunger back in the BOV and screw the top back on? its a kompact turbosmart

Well, BOV seems to be operating fine. Car runs like doodoo tho but it was doing that about a week before the BOV shot into the hood.

I'm not sure but i'll look into it!
If you're not familiar, the adjustable BOVs allow you to tighten or loosen the cap, effectively allowing for quicker or slower BOV actuation based on pressure put on the spring. If unscrewed too much, and past the intended "max soft" position, the spring will flick the cap off.

I don't know that's what you have going on. Just speculating.

I'm thinking that is probably what happened, I'm going to take it off and clean it. Is there some kind of universal BOV from Turbosmart? I can't seem to find the model I have, and when I look up BOV for the specific application (2014 ford fiesta ST) they're all different in appearance.

The BOV on my car just has an inlet, trumpet and vacuum port.

Is there a M logo on top? Could be the mountune-spec Turbosmart. They also make (made?) a generics VTA one
