Installed Whoosh short shift adapter and Whoosh shifter cable bracket bushings yesterday... honestly it could have been better (9000.01% my fault) - I'm 98% sure I put the bracket bushing in the back (the one sideways one) facing the correct way (fatter side of the bushing is on the left when looking at the engine bay from front of vehicle)... I kind of stripped the allen heads when putting the short shift adapter on because I was paranoid because I didn't use loctite. Cutting corners is dumb, don't do it. But..... while I was in there I cleaned the battery and battery box and put battery donuts, dielectric silicone paste and battery terminal protector on brushed/cleaned posts. I also learned what type of filter I have on my intake (narrow, 6.5 inch long cone). OH, and I ripped the hood insulation off.
To review the short shift adapter with shifter bracket and shifter base bushings, I heard one review say that it takes an extra little push to ensure it's at the end of the slot in the gear gate... but my experience is a bit of the opposite. Before you had to push (or more like, PLACE) the stick into gear, whereas now once you're 2/3rds of the way into that gear it feels like it kind of sucks it the rest of the way to the top (or the bottom) of the gear travel, almost pulling it out of your hand and doing the work for you if you're shifting really gently and slowly.
