Has anyone managed to fit 18x8.5's yet
18x8 and 17x8.5 so far (functionally) though seems sema I think had a car running 18x8.5 rotiforms or some type of mesh style.... Car was silver... Could be wrong though

Thanks for the reply, I take it it wouldn't be ideal for a daily driver then.

I've found some Rota D154 18 that I really like but it's no good if I can't drive it

Not really, I'd stick with 8" wide if you want to run 17" or bigger, and with some (significant) fender mod you can roll 15x9 like raamaudio, nobody really makes a 16x8 or a 16x8.5 - which would be ideal in my book.... I'm running 17x8 +38 on a 215/40 rt615k... Pics for reference of fit with lowering springs...

Hey Berzerker questions for you! How much inch drop do you have with the lowered springs and do you rub sometimes? + can you give us more infos on your wheels and tires specs and names please?

Sure, car looks much more badass in person lol, so:

Wheel:
Team dynamics pro race 1.2 17x8 +38 gloss anthracite.

Tire:
Falken rt615k 215/40r17 200 UTQG

Suspension:
Cobb springs - 3/4" drop once settled on all corners, maybe a smidge less in the rear.

Rubbing:
I have only gotten rub/interference coming out of an alley (25° gradient approx) with about 3/4 steering wheel lock input @ 10-15mph and couldn't identify where up front (no indication it hit the actual fender...

Outside of that, I have yet to hear any rub or evidence of it... I'll check again tonight after my little 190 road trip... That said, I've deliberately driven on uneven roads surface and roundabouts to check.... Only real test will be my first autox this summer, but seems that only a sudden jar at medium to hard steering lock (ie expansion joint, pot hole, etc) at speed will make any notable contact... So far I'm extremely happy :)

Hope all that helps :)

We seem to have a lot more choice in the UK with regards to wheels and stud pattern it would seem.

My mechanic has assured me he can get 18x8.5s to fit but I'm a bit dubious

Go for it if you can, I just don't like running that little of a tire sidewall :)

Update: no issues after 500 miles this weekend... That includes (road rage due to being cut off near a roundabout) full speed roundabout entry and exit to an onramp (yeah, not smart, just wanted to get past the, driving like a drunk, moron) and no issues even bumped the inner rumblestrip/curbing...God did I miss how this car handles with this setup!!!! Just curious ... would 17 x 8.25 +35 fit our cars? Also, would the stock tires P205/40-R17 Bridgestone RE050A fit on this rim?

Hey F8lspd!
I'm not a specialist but as per other fitments I saw, they should fit but you'll probably have to put some 5mm spacers to clear the suspension strut + Not sure if you'll rub sooo if they rub you'll have to roll the fenders... fyi you can use www.willtheyfit.com -- really nice fit calculator who can help you!!
