When I used to organize the Treeline Rally, I would put rally tyres on my Golf and drive up Angeles Crest to Red Box and then hit the rally roads down to Azusa. Made a huge difference with no punctures.

That looks very interesting, this hobby is getting more expensive by the week.
I was on the fence at MSRP. Just got one, I'll let you know in a couple weeks how it goes. Lots of people use them in the groups I run, got to play with one last year and it's pretty impressive.

I've got a Solostorm setup ready for this year, haven't tried it yet but very excited. Only downside is I bought the OBDlink MX+ for telematics and then realized you can't run that and the Cobb at the same time (duh). Kind of wish I just went for racecapture instead now but thats a whole thing on its own.

One of the selling points for me was I can screen mirror Solostorm onto android auto so no need for an extra display bouncing around the cabin.

This didn’t happen today, but here’s a video of me having fun in the mountains. Hopefully now y’all will understand why I want B6s on my car lol
Those are about the speeds I drive down the rally stage roads when working on them, but most of them are NOT quite that smooth! [thumb]

I also want to get the B6es and put the Swift Spec Rs on with them.

IF I then get too much contact with the chassis, or huge dents in the skid plate, when working rallies, I will raise up the ride height with strut/spring spacers. [wink]

Yeah, that spot was smoother than most of the roads up there. What’s the advantage of the spec r s for rally road driving?

There is none, as they supposedly lower the car by ~1" all around.
But some on here have claimed no lowering at all when paired with the B6es. [dunno] [???:)]

But, they lower the car the very least of all of the other (factory type, not coil over setups) springs out there, and they are higher pound-inch rate than most and LINEAR rate, not progressive rate like ALL of the rest.

Did I make a mistake, I ordered the Thermal R&D exhaust and Whoosh catted downpipe for a full 3" system - did I need to order Ron's 3" adaptor also? I assumed it'd be a proper 3" system but saw a comment today that the CBE steps down to 2.5" at the downpipe for some dumb reason

Yes. The exhaust will go from 3in downpipe to 2.5in at the connection and then 3in after. You don't need it but to have a true full 3in exhaust you will need that adaptor. May be worth reaching out to Ron to fix it before it ships

Got this box of goodies in the mail a few days ago. I ran BC's on my old Honda and they were magical when paired with some pillowball mounts. This is an extremely high quality kit from BC and I'm really excited to get it installed in the next few weeks. I also ordered a 180 deg thermostat from whoosh since theres a chance my coolant recall wasn't done. I dont really want to run that ugly egg shaped coolant bottle so I'll just do the thermostat my self when I install my radiator.

Put in the Turbosmart EM2 recirc BOV and whoosh hot side j pipe. It holds boost so much better, pretty sure the stock one was leaking. For anyone attempting this install, popping off the wheel and having a long 5mm socket made the install so much easier.

That's a really solid looking, impressive top mount on those. [thumb]

Is that standard on all of the BCs for our rides, or did you pay extra for that?
Thats standard. I went for the most basic kit from Whoosh. Since thats all I had on the Honda I thought it wasn't worth spending the extra money on different spring rates or swift springs. I also am not about that slammed car lifestyle either.
