Hey guys,

currently tuned on e30 and my afr on wide open throttle is around 12.2. Is that too lean, I’ve read since we are open deck we can run leaner and it’s okay. I also know you can run a little leaner on ethanol due to the cooling affect. But I’ve never ran 12.2 even on e30. With our engines running Hot I would think we would wanna run richer. (I have stock radiator and intercooler if that matters)

my last car I ran 11.3 on pump and 11.8 on e30. (Mazda speed 3)

thanks

You’re going to get a range of opinions on this. But, I’ve had three different tuners, and each hit 12.2 at some point in the RPM sweep.

12.2 at redline is okay. A datalog I did today showed 12.05 at redline.

In the end, these things are about risk tolerance, more than an clear right and wrong.

Same here. Looking at my logs, I'm usually around 11.91 near redline.
