I thought that the GoPro was too expensive. I went with the SONY Exmor 11.5megapixel to take with me for the Octane Academy in Utah in 2015 (damn, was it that long ago)? It was half the price of the GoPro and worked like a treat! Stuck to the side of the car and lived to tell the tale!

Temps around here been getting up to the 80's. Been running 93, on stock heat plugs. Switched over to OAR's and after a quick run onto the highway saw them drop to -0.97. So I'm back on E30 again. Thinking about picking up the step colder silver plugs whoosh has on his website.

Ethanol in the tank didn't fix the OAR issue. Dropped down to -0.97 again after a few hard pulls. I might order the step colders sooner than later.

Just ordered a Pro Alloy coolant expansion tank. Thought I'd pair it with my radiator upgrade. My coolant bottle cap already broke once and i got lucky removing it but don't want to take any chances again.
That thing will certainly never crack, or have problems even if it is harder than the stocker to check the coolant level and condition through the little round sight window thing. [thumb]

Finally got some wrenching time today. Installed Mishimoto intake and exhaust - everything fit well and lined up, except the tips are hanging a bit low. Should have replaced the hangers while I was at it, but now it just gives me an excuse to browse the woosh site for a bit...

New front and rear EBC Redstuff pads, swapped out rear rotors for WaveSpec Sport Line rotors. The OEM rear rotors had a lip worn into them. I thought my back pads were down to the metal, but my FRONT pads were even worse, and one had a crack going down the center of it.

I basically spent the last week trying to print the perfect headrest mount for the gopro using a scrap piece of T-Track. The end result came out great....but fml I should have checked the angle before starting on this. IMO totally useless for autocross unless I want to watch idk how smooth I am on the steering wheel? Probably gonna look for a reasonable magnet mount to put the gopro at the front of the roof. (I'm open to recommendations, just no suction cups)

Sucks because I'm really proud of how well the T-track headrest mount came out lol

Installed the Mishimoto Induction hose. The install instructions mentioned attaching a worm-gear clamp over the open connection.
I was under the impression this was plug and play, is that correct?
Also, is there any benefit to resetting the air sensor after installing this item?

Why not attach the camera to your helmet?

Got my Injen exhaust installed yesterday. Fits like a glove compared to the mufffler shop special. Doesnt sound super loud but still sounds good. Also got my O2 spacer installed and will see if my emission code clears.

Ron the goat from Whoosh hit me up[ yesterday too and said he was out of the polished Pro Alloy tanks and offered me a Satin black with a Free Whoosh shirt for the trouble. I call that 10 star customer service right there.

You reminded me I need to order one too. Just bought a black one. I have a Mishimoto overflow tank and I don't like how the cap threads on, hopefully the pro alloy one is decent.

View attachment 53574 I tried to fix my broken wing thanks to the boomba risers installed by the previous owner. Hopefully this holds up!
I installed a Velossa Tech spoiler lift kit today and found that exact point you're showing on the piece was completely broken and I had to engineer a solution. Carvana had slathered it in JB Weld to get the car back to stock so they could sell it again I assume. Not sure what about the riser kits is breaking the spoilers though.

The risers are all attached at 6 points, and the remaining plastic clips that attach the spoiler to the car are no longer connected - reduced attachment points.

I went with the (admittedly pricey) Delta styling riser, and when I attached it, I added VHB tape at the missing contact locations. The hatch now closes with a satisfyingly solid “THUNK” instead of the slightly disturbing rattle from the previous Velossatech risers.

The OEM cap is prone to breaking on these cars and I already had it break on me once. The Pro Alloy one uses a bayonet style cap so no worries about breaking the cap again.
