Lol Wait till you guys get some real boost going. Yes it does not sound stock at all in fact the stock turbo did not sound like much to begin with.
In fact I was gonna put a ITG Maxogen Intake on in place of my ST200 Airbox but between the Turbo my Mountune Sportcat downpipe and my Thermal RD exhaust its like naw car makes plenty of noise now.
I have a similar set up and thought about replacing my ST200 box with an ITG one when I install my S280. Does is still make plenty noise with the ST200 box? I also have a Thermal exhaust with a Miltek catted Downpipe

Thanks, that was in my plans as well - I'll probably pull turbo with the manifold. Still wondering if I should grab a used stock one and port it (either at home or through a local shop), or grab one of the aftermarket ones.
i recommend AET Motorsports out of England if you want to get a ported OEM manifold. They increase the inlet size to match their VT330 in-house turbo but it'll work with any aftermarket turbo that's designed for the stock manifold. I don't know shipping to Canada would work but shipped to the States it was the cheapest option and it only cost an extra 50GBP to not exchange my manifold. After getting it i can confirm the port and polish is top notch. won't install for another few months but now i can assemble the s280 with the ported manifold and install it all in one go.

the only downside is they don't offer a cerakote option like whoosh does. for me that's not an issue as a pretty top notch ceramic coating company is within easy driving distance but that's something to consider if heat management is important to you.

Any CEL with that milltek? I have the same dp waiting to go in with my turbo, I picked up a vibrant defouler when I bought it, hoping maybe I won't need it though.

No CEL. I use to have a whoosh catted and it would illuminate the CEL when I went E30. On the milltek no CEL at all. Been on almost a year.

I am now using a COB full 3 inch piping CARB legal intake with a ST200:bottom. That ITG is dope but no exactly quiet.

Oh yeah, i tried dropping my subframe like a yobbo. Shaving was enjoyable haha
LOL. yeah i was gonna go this route too.

i think a lot of people who drop the subframe do so because Randy did a step by step guide on the TunePlus (AdamBrunson) YT page. i know that was why I was gonna do it and i've read a few people here who cited Randy as well. i mean if you're going to do everything else he does in that video, you kinda have to drop the subframe so while you're at it i guess? even then he kinda just poo-poo's the heat shield whereas you go here and i think there are a few tuners who are still in therapy for the trauma of removing and then installing the heat shield back on. that was my first red flag that his "not that bad" is most people's stuff of nightmares. i'm seriously considering just cerakot'ing, turbo blanket, wrapping all of that area so i can just toss the heat shield when i do my s280 install (edit: i'm probably gonna do all that stuff anyway but i'm seriously considering not bothering re-installing the heat shield b/c of it)

First US s280 in the 11s at the drag strip as far as I know :) put a whoosh motorsports stage 3+ clutch in it Saturday morning and took it to the track Saturday night!

Those were some screaming fast runs! Excellent driving! Are you still on the oem transmission?

I need to get the video edited and posted, but we went 11.73 @ 122.7 this weekend! Still at 29.5psi boost. Saturday I installed the 3.5bar AEM map sensor, we are seeing around 33psi boost now. Adam said there are some changes he wants to make and we will have another revision before the next track outing, likely this Friday. This turbo is simply, bar none, the best.

It will be real interesting to see how she responds to a few more psi. I would assume, we will be flirting with CHOKE at some point sooner than later. This is the kind of excitement I missed having in the DSM world. Back a couple decades ago when people where probing the limits of stock frame MHI EvoIII 16g turbos.
