I have this log in 3rd and 4th, the car went from 54.5 mph to 105 mph in 9.2 sec with 27.5 PSI at 8700 ft high

You want a log in a single gear to remove shifting speed as a variable.

You could really pick any speed, in any gear, but 4th is less likely to spin for most people.

The point is to eliminate all this discussion about dyno variables. Your car can do 60-100 faster than another car, or it doesn't. The only way I think anyone could pad their numbers is by driving down hill.

Anyone that takes logs should be able to pull 60-100 data. Again, no gear changes.

Too the people asking about vdyno pulls you can do them in 3rd. Don’t let anyone tell you you have to data log in 4th only or do vdyno pulls in 4th.

The main thing about data logging is you want to start at 2500 rpm and just floor aka WOT till redline . No let up, the reason for 3rd gear pulls is you don’t need to be in Mexico. 4th gear pulls are for Mexico . You then have the data to dump into vdyno and send to your tuner.

I think 4th gear pulls are better for data logging, Vdyno is tit for tat. 4th gear pull puts a heavier load on the engine and will show any issues with the engine better for the tuner, imo.

Saw someone posting on the last page about a 60-100mph run. Was curious myself and went ahead and did a couple "dyno" runs in 4th gear.

Quite a dramatic difference between the two. They were performed on the same stretch of road in opposite directions. I think I'll try from 3rd gear next and see how it is. I have 4.31 final drive so 3rd gear tops out at just over 80mph, lol.

1st run was from 60mph to 105mph and came out to 7.91 seconds.

2nd run was from 58mph to 103mph in 8.5 sec.

I'm looking for new map sensor as my stock one is no bueno for anything over 29 psi. Looking at the Bosch but was wondering if anyone know what car does that 4 bar MAP comes from, like the jag injectors for the 30% injectors. Sorry if I missed the discussion for it.

I think I am good for now with my final revision @ 310+ HP and 310+ torque on my e30 tune. Time to look for Re71rs LOL.

What numbers are y'all getting on Tune+ for lowside FP actual and low side FP duty cycle (low side fp dc)?

I have a theory that my in tank pump may be taking a dump, would love to compare with other peoples numbers.

I haven't watched the low side duty cycle but lowside fp actual I see vary between 60psi to 108psi

Welp, back to tuning. Looked like I went backward on my new revision from 26 to 25 psi but the peak power is unknown as it's still increasing at 7k where the fuel was cut off.

Is it cooler now than the prior logs? I think the car will "request" a certain torque value then provide boost to meet that set value. If its cooler, it may just need less boost to meet the torque demand??

My understanding of it is on the simple side and correct me if I am wrong here.

It was actually hotter. I did a couple of runs of the current tune and the previous revision back to back. It was about 1.5 PSI different and about 25 HP. I was thinking to my self, it felt like my first revision LOL, hopefully my tuner did not reload my old revision in there. He said that it was supposed to be my last revision and was suppose to add more power to it. We'll see what he has to say in a couple of days.

Final revision is in on E30 tuned, 3rd gear run: 310+ hp and about 330+ torque @ 27.21 PSI max on vdyno. That thing is still going at fuel cut off. 4th gear run: I am too far away from Mexico at the moment and I don't want to get impound.
My built is very basic lol: drop in k&n filter with holes drilled on intake box 😂, V3 intercooler, NGK ruthenium step colder spark plugs, upgrade injectors, stock dp, s280 with 14 psi TS wg, and stock DV with a whoosh adapter, muffler deleted unknown exhaust.
Future plan: upgrade map sensor, hpfp, intake, dp, manifold, going e50 maybe full e85; hopefully I can get 350 hp and 350 torque and does not have to deal with the engine. Lastly built engine, and bigger turbo. We're talking power wise upgrades only.

Also, is anyone running the s280 with the actuator that it comes with? I plan on doing only 91 and e30. Anyone had any problems ?
if you read earlier posts on this thread you'll find a lot of people ran the s280 with the WGA that came with the kit. you'll also find out why everyone recommends going with an upgraded WGA if you want to hold boost consistently.

i'm in the same boat as you right now as i have the stock s280 kit (not the peron that comes with the upgraded turbosmart WGA) but i plan on upgrading the WGA before i install/tune.

the octane doesn't matter for the WGA, e.g. it's not like the WGA that comes with the stock TurboTechnics kit works for 91OCT but not for 93OCT. if you "just" want your tuner to hold 22-24lbs of boost, then that's what'll make you decide between upgrading the WGA or not. why you would want to go through all the trouble of buying and installing an s280 but not going full boost is a different discussion though. from what little i understand about combustion, the e30 demands even more from the WGA than the 93OCT as it's not as energy-efficient.

Anyone running adams wastegate actuator for s280?
I went with what my Tuner ( Adam) recommended. Basically stated like esp_martin pointed out that the stock actuator does not hold higher boost consistently. I am running 91 and E30 tunes and pushing 27lbs of boost highest has been 29lbs.
