Awesome gift. I wish I could tag my wife on here lol
I've put in a lot of hard work and I'm very blessed. It's a long time ago but it feels like yesterday that I couldn't pay rent, my electric got turned off, and I shopped carefully at the grocery store. I'm beyond grateful.

Finally got around to changing my spark plugs again. Usually do them every 10k but kept forgetting to order them, after 21k miles on the old step colders the throttle repsonse is noticably better. Need to get under the car during my oil change next month and check my clamps/gaskets for either a small boost leak or small exhaust leak. Can hear some air sputtering out from somewhere at WOT in second and third. Sounds like it's coming from somewhere on the driver side.

Also, I recently put a want to buy for an OEM catback. Help me out, I'm BEYOND sick of my MBRP. Live in South Texas (San Antonio).

I am surprised that you can even hear any exhaust, boost, or intake leaks over the raucous cacophony of that MBRP!

Not gonna lie, I did a did a double take when I read MBRP at the end of the other post, lol.

I'm honestly amazed how many people both have had it and still have it.

I have the MBRP, however I got my old no name muffler from the old exhaust welded on the back.. Not so ridiculous on the drone or loudness. I got headaches driving to work without the muffler

Still trying to justify to the wife that I need the Thermal R&D lmao

I know I know. I’ve preached here to help people not make the mistake I made!

I may go this route with a big vibrant muffler or something if an OE exhaust doesn’t pop up. I figure anything will help at this point lol

This car pulls hard as shit at 80+ in 6th gear. I usually down shift to 5th to accelerate but I part throttle pulled to make an exit and was hitting 100 in no time. I guess spinning over 3k I’m right at peak torque at that speed.

Finally finished my DIY automatic sport mode button-pusher circuit! Now the button pushes itself every time 30 seconds after startup. I've been wanting one ever since I saw the module that was made by a forum member at one point a few years ago, but doesn't seem to be around now.

I've posted a writeup on it here, complete with where to find all the parts to make one for yourself!

https://www.fiestastforum.com/threads/diy-fun-mode-automatic-sport-mode-esc-off-circuit.30262/

While I was at it, I also ran a new circuit from the battery fusebox to power both this and the little powered subwoofer that was questionably wired by the previous owner. Also finished a writeup on the fusebox here:

I still don't understand the point of Sport Mode. Is there any reason for it once you're tuned?

This is great! I looked for a way to automatically set the sport mode in Forscan for the Fiesta and Mustang didn't have any luck with either of them. Looks like JDC used to sell his kit but he's no longer around. Do you plan on making more to sell?

I wasn’t planning on making more, but if you follow the link, I did a full writeup on how to make one yourself and where to get the parts you need. Once you have all the parts, it’s not all that difficult a job, especially if you just use a fuse tap and end crimps rather than wiring a full circuit and solder splices like I did. It’s really just crimping wires and making sure everything is hooked up correctly.

As far as I can tell, if you’ve got the Cobb traction control enabled in your tune, it’s completely arbitrary choice whether you want the car to pop up “sport mode” or “traction control off”. Since there’s still technicallly some traction control present (COBB) I opted for sport mode

Found an ST200 airbox used for $180. I have been wanting to get rid of the KN hot air intake since day 1. I feel like the stock airbox design works plenty well even on an S280 turbo setup.
Good deal! They do not usually sell that cheap. I am still running the ST200 bottom cold air input with my COBB tops side . Its a great combo.
