My OCD gets anxiety just looking at this picture hoping it'll be symmetrical if I was doing it
The picture isn’t showing it correctly but they’re damn perfect! I think the old hood number decal is throwing it off. I’m gonna leave that number like it is I think. 🤔

…and for the record, my buddy Chris is doing all the visible metal cutting. 😂 I’m capable but he’s 10000 times better. The dude built RWBs so he’s the artist with the air saws, not me.

Wow, and I was worried that my Maxton V1 splitter was too big! By comparison to yours it's quite conservative.
Maxton parts are for aesthetics only. I’ve had three of their lips and the rear wing flap. They do nothing to stabilize the car but they looked cool. There’s old pics in the first few pages of my build.

Hope you didn't think I was being critical. I was just amazed at the size of it. I reckon it's one of the biggest splitters I've seen on the Fiesta ST. Try not to drive too close to the curb when driving it on the road, that's all, 'cause you don't want to start cutting peds off at the ankles!

Nah all’s good. Just wanted to make sure you weren’t expecting any functionality out of the Maxton stuff. All of mine ended up cracking. My splitter is actually made of birch plywood and chassis mounted. The endplates will cut shins that’s for sure. This is actually my smaller 3” version too. 😂

At first I was hoping to get some functionality out of it. That's part of the reason why I went for one of their biggest ones. But the guy who fitted it said that splitters don't have much use at road speeds, even on motorways (i.e. freeways). He said that splitters are only any good for racing, which was a bit of a disappointment. Oh well, at least mine looks good.

They do look great! Aero (unless extremely large) doesn’t usually assist until speeds over 100mph. That’s why you’ll typically see aero companies advertise downforce numbers of their airfoils “at 100mph”. There are some pretty wild autocross and hill climb aero packages though. My car is usually driven between 55mph-140mph and frequently over 100mph. That’s why I have the aero. I felt the car was unsafe in turns and under heavy braking after adding a larger turbo and more grip. Aero stabilizes it now so I can continue to progress with it.

New improvements look beautiful! Nice work. Are you going to notch the stock wing and reinstall it?

I've been thinking about the wing I plan to install on my car. None of my tracks have high speed turns. The potential is there to hit 130-140mph on some straights but then it's hard on the brakes into a turn. Wondering if the wing would have big benefits or not. I still want to do it for hot boi points.

What's the bolts for above the wheel arch?
I cut out the inside of the fender to clear 235s. Those bolts attach the fender and bumper cover to a custom bracket.

Yeah the wing will be notched on the bottom. Not sure how that’s happening yet. Likely just a couple of slits wide enough for it to flex a bit.

Road Atlanta is really fast. My other regular tracks are nowhere near RA but one has a really long +100mph carousel and the aero helps there. My car actually fuel starves on that carousel unless it has over 1/2 tank.

Looks like you're going all out on building a full on race bruiser. Me? I'm just creating a pretty girl with an attitude. About the most extreme thing I intend to do is have the Revo Stage 4 330-350bhp done, but at the end of the day mine will always be for road use only.

That’s awesome! I think someone in the US tried a UK grill and it didn’t fit.
I wonder why that should be? The grilles look like they're the same shape. Would you be interested though if the one in question does end up fitting? I thought you might be interested because it's supposedly designed for racing. I guess you could e-mail and ask them about compatibility with the US model?
