If this was directed at me; This is my ONLY car, but I have been retired for many years now, and have not worked any rallies (which tends to put big miles on the car in one shot) in a couple of years.
Unless I have somewhere specific to get to, it can sit idle for two days or more.

Also, I tend to go out for long (bicycle) rides in any spare time I have (concerned with my health in my advancing years ), and do not just go 'canyon carving' with the FiST with no specific destination, for pleasure, like most on here tend to do.

Interesting what you said about this being a blend of the Fit and S2K - what characteristics do you see in the fist? Fuel economy, practicality of the Fit and fun to drive of the S2K?

Well, the Fit was a great Econobox hatch for carrying passengers and cargo. When I was building my Jeep Cherokee XJ, I used the Honda Fit as a DD and junkyard parts runner, even putting Jeep axles in the back of it like it was a pickup truck! (I kept the back of the Fit clean with clear plastic and to be clear, no I don't use the FiST like a pickup truck, it's spotless inside. )

The FiST is reasonably economical like the Honda Fit was on Fuel. IIRC, the best fuel mileage I got with my Honda Fit (2007 Base model 5spd) was around 37mpg. The best mileage I've gotten in the FiST has been 34mpg, but I was also being veeeeeery nice to it and cruising at no more than 70mph.

I bought my 2007 Honda S2000 brand new off of the showroom floor in Williamsburg, VA in the Summer of 2007 with around 20miles on it in Laguna Blue Pearl with black interior. I still kick myself to this day for getting rid of that car, it was just so good. When I wore out the stock tires in 15K miles (I think they were Michelins or Bridgestone Potenza's), I put the S2K CR(2009 model only) tires on the car, which were stickier and helped curtail the snap oversteer that the car suffered from on the stock tires.

The FiST reminds me of the S2K being that it's small, handles great, and light(though the S2K weighed nearly 400lbs more. Was the S2K sexier? My god yes! I bought that S2K brand new at 24yo and I can't tell you the amount of women that I took out on dates in the car that ended overlooking the Bay in Virginia Beach, VA where I lived at the time.

Seriously, there are a few motorcycles I wish I hadn't sold. I'm wise enough to know that the FiST will not be sold before I die, or can't get 93, whichever comes first.

Convertible parts are heavy af, and the chassis are just so solid/stiff designed that they were heavy. I never saw one that weight much over a couple pounds heavier than 2900 though. F20 and F22 were all aluminum.

I’ve always wondered how the 3rd Gen Fit with a 6 MT drives. Would be way more practical than the Fist for my DD and dad duties - but I regret nothing.

I remember sticking my S2K on a scale one time and I believe it was around 3100lbs with me in it, which I was 220lbs of muscle at the time so that might be the reason that 3100lbs stuck in my head for how much that car weighed.

These aren't the best pictures, and I still need to reposition the cargo box forward so that the rear hatch will completely clear it.

I'm VERY surprised at how quiet the crossbars and cargo box are collectively. There really isn't much noticeable wind noise up to 80mph. It's lockable and opens clamshell style from both sides, making access to cargo super easy!

Got a similar setup but its a yakima Rocket box. Drove to the Florida Keys from Mn. was great,...didn't really cut into MPGs either. Of course i was stock Turbsky too at the time. Good choice though!

About 37lbs and I'm guessing the crossbars are maybe 3-4lbs each since they're aluminum, so under 50lbs for the entire setup!

My gf got me a Damond RMM for my birthday and I finally got around to throwing it in. 70k miles and tons of autocross have certainly done a number on this thing, it fell apart like this when I pulled it off. New mount feels great! Didn’t realize how sloppy this motor mount was making it all feel

Slapped on my Rota Titans. 17x7.5. Used stock tires. I had hub centric rings laying around. I didn’t need to use them. They were hub centered

This was a bit ago, but finished installing an Ultra Racing 22mm (7/8”) front sway bar and Delrin steering rack bushings. Along with Vudu subframe alignment pins. Really happy with the results.

Also, 6 foot cheater bar made the torque-to-yield subframe bolts much more managable.

I'm out of luck, don't have such a bar in my tool collection. Are the torques specs that high?

Well, I've got some maintenance to do on the canyon carver before a 5,500mile road trip from AZ to VA and back to visit family over the holidays.

I haven't driven it much in the past couple of months, as I've now got a company vehicle, but she's due for new front pads and rotors at 41K miles, which just arrived from Power Stop Brakes. Since I'm still on the stock turbo and "FBO" for now, I went with their version of stock replacements. Depending on what my Xmas bonus looks like from the company that I work for now, I may invest it, or buy an S280 to make this car silly since it's no longer my DD.



These Power Stop Brakes will be installed this week, as well as pre-trip oil change prior to putting 5,500miles on the car.

I've owned this car since March of 2021, and even if I don't drive it because I'm busy for a couple of weeks working, it still feels like I'm getting into something special and it still excites me every time I fire it up to drive it. I know I shouldn't have an emotional attachment to a machine(guilty as charged when it comes to my Jeep), but after owning both a Honda Fit and a Honda S2000, this car is just too good to let go considering its a great combination of both. There really isn't anything else on the market that I want to own and drive that checks the boxes that this car does.

My favorite couple of pics of my car, and after nearly 2yrs of ownership, I couldn't be happier with it!

Hopefully the coming holidays see an abundance of mods for your ST too, because big(ger) turbo is on my mind.

That must be a popular spot for cars that handle well.
