I shaved the support tab with a hacksaw. Not much left of it. Did you find metal shavings in your MTC ? I remember one member having a pretty substantial amount. I never checked but nothing fell out while handling.

It's simply a matter of cleaning it out. That's just good practice for anything with access to engine internals.

One member found a few shavings in his, it could happen to anyone with anything. I wouldn't let it deter you. Mine was perfectly clean.

Also not sure why you would've shaved down the middle tab when it just comes off with a bolt.

Yeah i didnt notice any on mine either. And I didn't have to cut or modify anything to make it fit.

Did MTC provide a tracking number? I know mine was shipped but I love sitting there watching my tracking info haha. Really excited to install mine.

What has been better for the fist so far, Bar and plate, or tube and fin? Seems to be only two companies producing tube and fin designs. But I figured a Bar and Plate would limit air flow to the rad

I think it's a durability issue.

Does anyone replace all of the factory clamps with t-bolt style clamps, even if they are keeping the factory hoses/charge pipes, and the stock turbo??

Installed my MTC intercooler today. I was initially put off by having to remove the front bumper, which is partially why I waited so long. But I watched Mishimotos video guide and it was a breeze. The MTC intercooler is a very nice quality piece and is a steal for just over $350 shipped. No modification required for fitment besides the middle support tab needing to be removed, which is shown below.

Did you change your charge pipes? I don't think I see the resonator on the hot side and I'm just wondering if you removed it and replaced it with something else or am I just an idiot? Was that just a small piece of hose to remove it or did you get a specific part?

I have the Mountune lower hard charge pipe but everything else is stock.

Ordered the MTC. Been waiting on depo but it still looks like they are a month away. Everyone seems to say they are the same so why not? Lol....it was even cheaper than the depo coming all the way from the UK. I think the current conversion. Is $316 with shipping.

Just not sure they are actually I stock at the moment. It said last one when I ordered and now it's changed to almost gone.

I just got mine this morning! Ordered on Saturday got here Tuesday. So crazy how fast. Will take some pics and give my impressions after install tonight!
