After about half a year with this harness from whoosh, I am getting a cel for a p1450. Does anyone know what I can do? I keep having issues with the purge valve.

Time to replace the purge valve and check the condition of the Evap canister for damage. It may need to be smoked to find any leaks in the evap system also.

I'd start by replacing the purge valve. That's the code them at my car had when the purge valve when bad.

What was your method for replacing the purge valve? The nylon hoses seem to be shrinked onto the valve and I'm having no luck getting them off.
My mechanic friend did it, but I think he just cut the hose and then used two short pieces of slightly larger hose to connect the valve

The assembly is $150 shipped, but I also bought just the valve. I'll use it with braided lines as a backup/future replacement (fingers crossed maybe @150,000 miles!). Course gas will be $150 a gallon in our post-nuclear world...

Get a copper hose cutter tool and spin and cut tight at the end of the valve got auto parts and buy a valve and about a foot of rubber gas line hoses and 2 baby hose clamps you'll be golden and back on road with confidence!
