Clutch issues

So I've looked all over and had issues with clutch sticking to floor. Slave cylinder most likely, that's fine. Took to a dealer ( dumb I know, but new to area ) they bled my clutch and called it good ($350) .. drove that day clutch back in..took it back in and they said the clutch needed replaced along with the slave. I also bought a LSD in prep for the slave needing replaced. For clutch and slave they quoted me for $2600.. and for that and the LSD they quoted me $4400. Thought getting the LSD now would save me some money but both of these seem pretty high. Or are these accurate? Also I'm not sure if the clutch is even necessary.

Sorry for the long post. Basically seeing what price I should be shopping around for, or that's about right.

I would suggest local fist owners would help do the job for beer money....
That would be lovely, but as I'm new to the area haven't gotten a chance to meet the scene around here. Also no garage currently unfortunately

I just got my clutch replaced by the dealer two days ago. I HATE dealers. I planned to the repair myself. I only did it because a friend of a good friend of mine is the service manager there and said he could hook me up. So I paid 950 for the parts and he was able to convince Ford to cover the labor ($2,400) through my extended warranty. All good right? Car was PERFECT for a single day....last night a nasty rattle developed and I have to bring it back and probably be without it for another week. Moral of the story, DON'T GO TO THE DEALER! Go to the regional forums in here and make a friend.

Thats my plan or at least figuring out somewhere that works on this type. The dealer was confused when I told them about the LSD or that the trans needed out for the slave. Major red flags I guess.. o honestly expected to pay in total aroubd 2400 for all of it, just shocked still by the 4g+ quote

$150/hr labour rate is going dealer rate around here.

For what it's worth, I managed to pull my transmission (while fighting both ball joints) in 3 hours in my garage.

It didn't sound too far off. Just 10 extra hrs for the LSD after everything was out before install seemed a bit ridiculous

I'm going to have to get a replacement tranny - Pumaspeed shipped w/LSD quote is only $2500 or so. I think the dealer is saying " we don't want your business".
