Did you make that two wheeled trailer?
Nice car, awesome track pictures!
It’s based off of a small Northern Tool trailer. It was the next size up from smallest and came with a motorcycle tray. I built the platform and mounted the D-rings. I think there’s more detail somewhere here in my thread. I still have it. In fact, I’m gonna build a custom hidden hitch so I can use it again. I really miss traveling light(er) to the track.

I forgot that they even had disc brakes back then, since no road bikes had them in that era. [wink]

Yeah, sweet downhill/rough general riding rig there! [twothumb]

@Woods, what's been the strongest track wheel you've found?

Asking since I've seen you run a bunch of different wheels, and I'm looking for a track-specific wheel to upgrade from 16x7 Sparco Terras that I've bent 2 of (no cracks, still hold air). Compomotive and Braid were a little out of budget but seemed bomb-proof. Thanks in advance!

I feel your pain. I've bent so many wheels I decided to stay off the curbs indefinitely. It's hard to do.. One of the reasons I bought the Rotas was their price. It is a lot cheaper to replace one of them than it is to replace an OZ or Compomotive. If I could run the flow formed Sparco or Konigs, I would go that route. The new flow formed Sparco looks promising and it is cheap. They just won't clear my brakes..

Forged track wheels are for the sponsored or financially irresponsible folks lol. Even forged wheel bend and crack from repetitive curb whacks.. I've come to accept the fact that wheels are consumables so I went cheap this time around and bought the Grids. The Compos and Fifteen52 I have are too heavy for track.

Installed a new Pierce front tower brace today. I drilled out the top of suspension mounts so I could access the hardware a little easier so I figured I’d add a brace for peace of mind. It’s probably good without it but I’d rather not find out the hard way. Don’t judge my rattle can paint job. 😉

I appreciate the insight, and glad to hear I'm not the only one. I was thinking 16x8 Konig Dekagrams because of the price and flow formed, and could still run a BBK that clears 16" wheels, plus gives me more options for tire size since this is my daily. They won't breake the bank to replace either and I would assume they're a little stronger than the Sparco Terras that are cast.

Where are the flow formed Sparco's? I hadn't come across those yet.

Curious, why can't you run the Konig options?

Did you install your wing or did someone else do it? I'm planning to install mine in a couple weeks.
