Photos are with the Meisterr Coilovers. ST Springs on stock shocks improves the OE harsh ride, but it’s not as nice as having gone to the MeisterR. Just can’t compare to the adjustability they provide.

True. Coilovers are hard to beat. If really like to get the H&R sport springs for now until later on when I have more cash. I have 17x7 sparco wheels, do you think I'll be able to rock that setup without wheels rubbing?

from my own experience I didn't like the H&R's. the stance looked good, but I didn't like the unpredictability of it's progressive nature especially at speed through corners.

Okay thanks a ton man. Yeah I love the stance. Hmm, id really like to get a good set that sit my car lower in the front that the back. I can't stand for a car to be higher in front than back.

Thought I'd bring this conversation over here...

It looks like you have them set about middle of the adjustment for ride height? You had mentioned that you trimmed the liners and rolled (pinched) the fender lips. Do you think that would be necessary at the height you're running?

Nope. I brought the front up ~3/4” and still maintain a lowered look, but roll through dips, speed bumps, and hang corners compressing the suspension without fear of rubbing anymore like I had been with just lowering springs. I gave up trying to chase the right springs and just moved on to coil overs with more adjustments. I can now entertain going to a wider 225 width tire, the beauty of adjustable coil overs.

Quick update. The car is pretty much back to stock. All major mods are off the car. The only items left are the wheels, coil overs, short shift kit, graphics, access port running stage 0 tune. I have the AP on currently so I can use the gauges. No more big turbo, radiator, intercooler, aux fuel, sway bar, etc. Performance parts are off. The thermostat is still on, I’m not going to the trouble to swap that back. The car is a 2014 and will have its first CA smog check since buying the car coming up soon. I’m the first owner and she’s ready 😎

Full list of mods that were on the car is noted on the very first post of this thread.

The car is still a hoot to drive and enjoy without the mods.

I had a Mishimoto radiator, but aftermarket radiators are okay. Just no mods from intake to catalytic converter that tampers with emissions without a CARB OE#

Mods will probably stay off. I’m getting too old for these silly games with the lawman, lol. Highly likely to sell many of the parts.

does an aftermarket intercooler now make you fail smog in CA? Would not surprise me sadly if that's the case.

There’s a rule that states that aftermarket intercoolers are okay. The key being OE replacement and not altering emissions. I’d find the rule and print it out in case the tech is ignorant of the matter.

Emeralds!! So glad I got them and they’re heated too which work great in SoCal when cold fronts come through 👍

Will they go through the trouble to see what Cobb’s power pack includes, specifically?
Depends on the tech, but I have nothing to hide and feel good with the car being compliant. I’ve already taken the ST to a State Ref when I got busted for non CARB parts and went through the fiasco then, I posted about that earlier in this thread. I’m confident in its current state that it will pass without issue.

For me the importance of the sticker is that I can have a Stage 1 or 2 loaded for the smog check and not worry about the ECU having been flashed at any point in time of its life, regardless of checksums or any other trace records the ECU may show with whatever forensic tools they may use. Its a🖕to the fool playing with a Fool 😂
