This would go nicely on top of the ST200 airbox as well. The only thing I dont like is the oiled cone filter. Wonder if anyone makes a dry cone filter...sorta like the aFe dry panel vs their oiled panel.

If I were to do it I would probably make a piggy bank fund and pull the trigger after 6 months. Id also have to sell 2 brand new parts I haven't even installed yet.

I would enjoy seeing that under the hood and I like the cone filter idea inside basically the stock air box bottom.

aFe does make DryFlow cone filters.

Whether or not they would fit in this system, [dunno].

Yes, I am kind of surprised that anyone, let alone a larger company like Cobb is still releasing anything new for our 'dead' (in this country at least) platform.

But Cobb has released their pretty carbon intakes for everything else, so I guess they figured, "why not?".

They may have already had some R&D invested in it long ago and decided to recoup? I'll help them out lol.

They are working on getting it EO’d for California. Man Cobb is upping the game for Cali When they get the downpipe and this EO’s I will buy them and run the in place of my Mountune Sportcat and my Whoosh crossover with Mountune Hose.I call sell that stuff off and recoup some of the money towards the new stuff thats all visibly legal . What better way to hide an aftermarket turbo than to surround it with all legal stuff.

I emailed Cobb about using with ST200 air box and they would only say its only tested on USDM air box. Obviously it will at least bolt up to it. Looks like most of the bulk of the cone filter is housed up in the carbon fiber part. I dont have an ST200 box yet but plan to use it with this at some point.

by the pics it should fit fine and be more free flowing than the ST200 by a small amount due to the velocity stack and the cone filter.
I got the impression it replaced the top of the airbox and we reused the bottom piece of the oem airbox. Am I losing my marbles? Double checking pics. I got the shipping notification today. Unfortunately signature confirmation and of course Ill be at work when they deliver.

Me too. So if you have an ST200 bottom box even more air flow into the box but the question is...is it needed? Will the setup even be able to move the additional airflow provided by the ST200 bottom. Where is the air flow restriction in this setup? That would help answer that question. Looks intriguing though.

True. Only using half the ST200 box would hurt a bit. I'll just run it on the US OEM box for the time being and maybe get an ST200 box if I become bored, wealthy and need something to do.

Only the bottom of the ST200 box is what is different from stock. The top is the same as the one that came from the factory so this still should improve airflow with the different top matched to the ST200 bottom. But like I said is it even worth it as far as additional air flow gained. Someone would have to test it to see. I'm happy with my ST200 box. Open my hood and it looks completely stock and I like it that way. Stealthy
