Got these little Gems in the mail....these are #2 and #3 outboard A/C vents that have broken on me.Where the upper flap arm connects to the lower flap. Anyone else encounter this annoying garbage?

Nope! I have 130k on my 2015 and they are fine. The blend door actuator on the other hand....

Took it up to Height Of Land, on Route 17 in Roxbury/Rangeley Lakes, Maine, and then on to Oquossoc, Maine ;

Then back to register and pick up my NEFR; ID card/lanyard, rally plate, and worker volunteer shirt at Sunday River South Ridge Lodge, and to get a few pics of the rally cars in the main service area;

Barry McKenna's only Mk8 actual Fiesta WRC (but with no paddle shifters, only floor shifted sequential);

Two of the only Mk8 R5/Rally 2 class Fiestas in the country;

Manxman David Higgins is piloting, (for this event at least) Barry McKenna's old S2000 class chassis/drivetrain Fiesta with the '07 Focus WRC level 2 liter engine in it.
Edit: He won the whole event overall with this old (comparatively) machinery, beating many top competitors in much more updated equipment, who either crashed out (like Travis Pastrana), or had major gearbox troubles take them out (like Barry McKenna's Mk8 WRC Fiesta, and Block's new Vermont Sportscar built/serviced SRT USA STI, and Jax Redline's [how's THAT for a race/rally driver's name?!? LOL] rented from Ken Block for this event, big flared Escort Cossie RS).

As far as I've seen so far, from the entry list, and wandering around the service area, this is the ONLY Mk7 Fiesta 'proto' (Fiesta outer body/unibody, with a tuned mid-year 1st gen Mitsu Evo drivetrain/powertrain) here;

I would've been able to get even better pics of these cars IF STPR (Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally based out of Wellsboro, Pa., 9/17 &18/21) was not just downgraded to a regional event, instead of the NATIONAL event it was supposed to be, and always was since it's inception 45 years ago.

The way they had it set up, even volunteering, I could attend the 'Parc Expose' the early evening before the start the next day, and get great still pics, and shots of them doing a 'ceremonial start' where they spit flames to put on a show for the crowd.

Now that it was downgraded due to state forestry permits which were denied for the first time in 45 years, NONE of the bigger names, or teams will show up, since they cannot earn any points towards the ARA National Championship at a regional event. [:(]

They CAN earn limited points at a SUPER Regional event, so I am hoping that they will show up for the New York Forest Rally out of Narrowsburg/Monticello, N.Y. in the very beginning of October. (I like this event even better than STPR, and is about 2 hours closer to me in travel time as well. [wink])

Given that Barry McKenna is now running this event, more than half the field will be made up of various class/performance level Fiestas!

Big day for me
Got my Cobb exhaust installed (a lot quieter than expected, great tone, no drone, very quiet)
Whoosh front track bar
Pass upper mount insert (dramatic increase in feel)
Koni yellows in the rear

still have my transmission mount insert, front brake deflectors and rear camber plates to install but it’s 107 and I had enough by noon.

That’s quite a day of installing! Bet it feels like a different car.

Good stuff. It always feels great to be so productive and for the changes to be so noticeable.

For sure. A downpipe opens it up quite a bit but will introduce a bit of drone on the highway if catless
In cali and just too hard to swap it on and off. Gonna roll with the stock even with the whoosh. I didn’t have the tools to press out my old downpipe bolts so I’m reusing some really nasty bolts down there and I think on any reinstall I’ll be cutting it off.

Did the transmission mount today and this really needs to recommended as hard as the rear motor mount is. All three need to be replaced or at least use the inserts.

I have a Vibra trans mount waiting to go in, but I'm waiting for my intake. Going to do mount, intake, and battery all at once. Glad that you got good results!

You did the powerflex insert for the passenger side motor mount and transmission mount?
That’s correct. I used the insert for both. Huge improvement. My steering wheel does have a small vibration at my 1k idle but it doesn’t bother and will likely settle in like my rmm did.

You're gonna be mad you waited. Have all 3 mounts by VibraTechnic. There's sooo much play in the OE mounts...

Sweet, thanks. You use the street inserts? I used race for the passenger side mount and my car is now a rattle box.

Agreed. No way would I ever get the race spec. I installed the street inserts both sides and it's just right. Minimal NVH. Plus Whoosh Street RMM.

FINALLY got my 2J intake installed after a long day of fighting, also installed a Whoosh turbo inlet and a Shift Solutions reverse lockout, now just need to get a new Shift Solitions KR-M knob to replace my heavy anarchy motive

also for anyone interested in a cowl intake definitely buy stainless and paint it yourself if you want, I’m pretty sure this is just spray paint, you can see drip marks in the bottom picture 40E48D10-B7A9-49B8-8A0C-5D30D9919FDC.jpeg 443DE5BB-6C3B-4AEC-9DFE-38A18C77A33C.jpeg BB963D34-81B7-4A52-B617-076717F186A9.jpeg

I used street. At 1k idle my steering wheel has a vibration that can be felt but not seen or heard. It reminds me of when I installed my street whoosh rmm. I anticipate some settling. Really happy with shift feel now. My powertrain had a lot of movement on shifts and it cleaned up most of it without too much nvh cost.

had all 3 Vibra done at once and effect was definitely noticeable and mods worth it.

would be curious if drivers side mount makes a difference but vibra technic doesnt offer that
