I always like to learn from the circumstances that created the impact. Are you at liberty to share? Prior vehicle i was traveling a 25MPH sidestreet, wide-open, bright sunny day, . No one behind me. Approaching a three-way intersection there was an 80s model boat waiting to make a left turn. I saw him, he was looking at me, I'm scooting along 30MPH, I look down and as look down, my peripheral vision catches the dude's front-end raising. Without even looking up I slam on the brakes, locking up all four. (no ABS) EVERYTHING in the car include the glasses on my face become an instant projectile, scrubbing off 20+MPH in a matter of feet before impact. T-Boned. I'm sure the tires' screeching was heard for at least a mile. My damage was relatively minor. His, not so much. Slower reaction time would've been front-end on front-end. Lesson? Approaching any intersection, don't assume the person knows how to drive LoL. Keep your eye on the "ball"...

I couldn't pass them up. Only 1.75 hr drive each way to Chambersburg PA. The guy gave me back $50 because I was talking to him about being retired military and he works at an army depot! He has his own small salvage yard he works on Saturdays, for 'fun'.

Of course $48 of the $50 went to getting the tires removed and disposal. He said he couldn't do them w/o gouging the rims. It was a great score compared to ebay prices and I hit up Krispy Kreme and got some OG's right off the icing the line!

Now to decide on color... I'm still thinking 2 white on one side, 2 ??? on the other....

I have 198k km on my car or 123k miles. 167k miles is pretty impressive. It looks almost too clean for the age and km. The bumper has like no rock chips on it

167/104 isn't much for any car with a manual transmission; especially depending on where it's driven. The average person here does 10~12k miles so 104k/7yrs is roughly 15k/yr... not much beyond average for the US. Here and in the East those miles would be hard miles with a lot of stop/go, possibly massively salted roads and such. Out Mid-West and down South they'd be relatively easy miles.

My 2016, has greater than 50,000 miles or 80,000 kilometers. Many of the miles have been rolled on a slightly larger diameter tire so the odometer may be 3 to 5% high. Another factor is most of my miles are on the motorcycle. The bulk of that k went on while the mc was waiting on parts.

123k is great as well, I wonder who has the highest mile fiesta in 2021... I see Diesel and toyota trucks with over 400k all the time and some still look brand new you almost think it's a misprint. If he put 167k and it's that clean he probably took real good care of it or he has chips like most of us and the pics suck, just have to get 6 inches from it and fine tooth comb it to find out he has chips like we all do.

I went down a rabbit hole trying to find the highest mile gauge cluster for our cars, and ended up here... After seeing this I am going to agree with you... For a base model fiesta this is nuts. I am curious what the highest mile ST will end up getting to. I literally drive 16 miles a day round trip to work, I cannot imagine driving 200k a year in a Fiesta...

A lot of the toyota and diesel guys love their trucks and they're willing to pay a lot of money to a body shop to get the rusts and dents fixed, repainted, etc. Not necessarily toyota or diesel specifically, but I've repaired rust on an early 2000s suburban with 300k kms and the the bill probably costed the owner more than the car is worth. The guy told me he just loves the suv and why spend 75k on a new truck when his is still good. Some ppl really do keep their cars forever.

yea, the wheel and leg airbags deployed. I wasn't going that fast but the car I rear-ended was an SUV so it went right over my crashbar and into my radiator and engine

Just spoke to my insurance and they said it can be repaired? They couldn't tell me the extent of the damage but I'm pretty sure they simply said it was repairable since it would be cheaper for them to do it rather than paying out the value of the car. The car has been moved to a mechanic so I'm gonna talk to him later today to get an itemized list of repair.

At the very least it was an SUV which minimized risk to those occupants but regardless I'm sorry and that sucks.

Cut out my stock exhaust in exchange for the Whoosh spec thermal R&D. Boy does it sound great, also plenty of burbles and pops! When they say no drone they mean it, was driving to work and it sounded even better than stock. It must have to do with the overall tone or frequency, its much lower.
