FWIW, I had a terrible experience with Apple Ford. It was probably just my salesman, but he kept pushing me to test drive a Fiesta/Focus SE. I think part of it was that I was there with my wife and said that she would be driving the car, as well. But, then again, maybe not. He also didn't seem to know very much about the STs other than that they are "performance models."

That was pretty much my experience with most of the dealerships I went to looking at the FiST. They kept pushing me into the FoST after telling them I was interested in the FiST. Maybe they get more commission on those since it's a higher cost car? Who knows. :/

Definitely. Takes the pressure off both parties and allows you to shop around and compare against other dealers. Also, if a salesman over email requests that you come in, don't. It's their way of getting you in the door and playing mind games with you. Only go in ready to buy if you have figures from the dealer. If you go in with set numbers on a car and they don't have it, leave immediately. Could be a way of them trying to bait and switch you as well.
Phil Phitts Ford Neshannock PA. Guys name was Russel Sager. Got everything except the Recaros plus an extended warranty for 23K Hello 2015 FiST in Orange with metallic flake
Whats the best way to search for only cars with recaros? Autotrader doesn't seem to work really well for that and/or there just aren't many cars with recaros.
While I was searching it helped if they listed MSRP. From what I noticed, any car listed at 25k or greater MSRP had the recaro package. Anything 23k or less MSRP pretty much guaranty's no recaros.
Got my 15 Orange ST from Ventura Ford. Orange Recaros, Navigation, Standard wheels, ST Protection package, MSRP was $25600. Got the 1500 factory rebate and an additional 500 military rebate. Ended up getting the car for 23100 plus tax and all fees. $25300 out the door which was a good deal for everything I wanted. Searched all over southern California. Wanted the painted wheels but the standard wheels grew on me. A dealer near the LA area had one with all the same options I wanted plus the Rado wheels. Only down side is that it had the over the top black racing stripe which was a deal breaker.
