Cobb vs Mountune CBE? Fswerks?

Hey everyone getting ready to splurge on on a CBE for my 2019 FiST 10k mile anniversary. From hours of research and videos it would appear that the three exhausts listed in the title are the most tame and systems with the least drone. I also enjoy the sound of each. I like that Cobb has flanges instead of slip joints but cost is up there. Money aside, between only the THREE listed Cobb, Mountune, Fswerks (please don’t mention the flipping MBRP) I would love some feedback on how long anyone has had any of these cbe systems, drone, any pissed off neighbors? Of these 3 systems please tell me if you are happy and why! Thank you for your time.

I have had a fswerks exhaust system since December of 2017. Definitely tame I wish it had a little more attitude.

I guess I'm happy because I didn't pay almost $800 for an exhaust system like others have. It is a straight through two and a half inch exhaust system. I have installed a total of three fswerks exhaust systems, all different vehicles you won't have any problems.

Have had Cobb on my car since about two weeks after I bought it in May of 17. Absolutely love it and get tons of compliments. No drone, quiet around the hood but makes plenty of noise when you get on it. I live in a snooty neighborhood and haven't made any enemies with it. Plus Cobb quality, and I refuse to have slip joints.

Will have it up for sale soon, replacing it because I got a 3" downpipe and want exhaust 3" all the way. PM me if you want first dibs.

FSWerks is probably the most tame aftermarket exhaust available. Mountune is probably a notch below Cobb but everything I've heard with the Cobb is actually pretty solid and it sounds better and better the more mods you do with it. It's a good starting, and likely ending, point for the car.

I just got the significantly more raucous Flowmaster and I love that, hehe.

I have a tubular manifold and catless downpipe with my Cobb and it sounds absolutely awesome.

I’ve got the Flowmaster too, it’s more raucous than those listed above but I’ve never felt like it’s too noisy for my neighborhood.

It's the more pleasing burbly sound down low and it's easy to keep the volume at a reasonable level.

Not sure if this will sway your decision... but as if last month Mountune was backordered until late summer. I was teetering between them or Thermal. Thermal is getting installed right now.

Even the whoosh spec? Figured with black tips I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I coated my entire exhaust from Dp to just before the Tips. I left them all sparkly and ready for some snap crackle and pop burns/scored tip look.

Pretty tame and not obnoxious at all. It won't turn heads when you turn your car on. (that could be a good or bad thing depending what you want).
Has a deep growly tone under 3000 and only gets louder when you're actually sending it. I don't really notice drone on the highway.

The build quality is great, but it's one of the more expensive pipes on the market. Also beware it's only 2.5" pipe.

That depends on how sensitive your ears are. Poly hangers most certainly increase noise and vibration and will likely worsen any inherent drone a particular exhaust system (especially the hanger right under the seat). An alternative (and I think more effective) solution is to have exhaust shop figure out an extra mounting point for the rear muffler to stop it from swaying.

EDIT: On stock exhaust now, but if I was to do it all over again, I would try finding Borla axleback (equivalent ford performance part is M-5230-FAB) and keep the stock resonator section. It would likely be just the right amount of burbles.

Do you have any drone between 3k - 4k? I just had my Cobb CBE installed (at Surgeline no less) and it has drone in that rev range (real bad when going up hill).. Granted, it's less than it was before with my muffler delete, but it's definitely still noticeable.. No other mods on the car..
