I've tried a lot of settings, even maxing the rears, but it still squats under hard acceleration. Normally I run like 8 from stiff up front and 10 from stiff in the rear. I bought a set of 10k springs from them for the drags to help fight it, and it barely squats at all with that setup, but I wouldn't want to drive around like that on the street, the rear would kick out definitely in corners, and hard braking doesn't feel very great lol. Ya have to steer it a little, lol

With stock turbo it was fine, but the car makes like twice that amount of power now, so I think it just overpowers the springrates.
ah you are putting out a fair amount more power I see running 35lb’s of boost . Honestly I would not run that much boost:LOL: but thats your decision. Ya my friend is putting out around 265HP and I am putting out around 284HP I do not experience squat myself with my ST‘s.
Nothing wrong with the rear kicking in corners the car was actually designed in way that it does that. If you have to steer it a little while braking I would be looking at your brake setup as unless you are running bad tires or shocks, definitely  The suspension should not have a dramatic effect on braking especially spring rates. Something else is going on in your setup IMO.

I think I make around 370 whp, not 100% sure but that's what Adam told me during the tuning process. Pulls like a freight train, lol. It's been at this power level for like ~20k miles so far, no issues yet :D And yeah I like a little bit of kick in the corners for sure, but 5k front 10k rear would be sketchy, lol. I think it's just the all seasons that make it a little squirrely under hard braking, I JUST put my whoosh BBK and svt rear conversion on last week, and a fresh alignment the day before.

I think 7k/5k would fix my complaints about the dive, but haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

thats possible and yes your tires are doing you no favors:ROFLMAO:. Unless you are a running a Super high Performance all season I would say with that amount of HP in a 2750 lb car you need stickier tires with a stiffer sidewall.

I've had my eyes peeled for TD 1.2 15x8's for ages now but haven't seen any popup, and they're backordered for like ages :( that with a set of RT660's would make me happy again, lol the car weighs something around 2600 now with no rear seat, spare tire etc, so that's also not helping, lol

I just threw some Continental DWS06, they're great for an all season, just the sidewall is real squishy as it's not a performance oriented tire lol.

I love my MeisterR's, although I wish I had gotten a stiffer rate. 5k 3k is too soft for my setup IMO. The car squats really bad in the rear under acceleration, and dives too far forward under heavy braking for my liking. I want to try 7k 5k or 8k 6k I think.
I'm running an 8/6 setup, and I think it's perfect. Soft enough (but stiff) for the street, and as stiff as you want (plus some) for the track.

I'm really thinking bout doing the same, I think it'd fix my issues for sure.

When I drove to the drags with the 10k springs in the back, it wasn't even that bad, so I'd imagine 8/6 would be just fine.

I agree with this. I thought I was getting a little "sway", and even tho the tire pressure was spot on (according to the chalk and temp guage), I increased the front by 2 psi and it eliminated the roll. I think what Dpro is saying here is correct.

Just remember, alot of people think stiffer is better, because "race car", but that's not always the case, I've been at a few tracks where I initially had the dampening set way too stiff and kind of "skipped" out of turns. 8/6 for me is perfect

Alignment? I was running some toe out for a bit, and I felt it was a near death experience on every high speed braking zone. Lol

For sure, the only reason I threw 10k in the back was to fight the squat at the dragstrip, didn't want weight to transfer from the front tires and cause it to spin. Once I got home I threw the normal 3k's back in the back.

Did you switch to toe in, or as close to zero as they could get it?

I'm toe in now. It decreased the turn in a little bit, but made it more stable and less twitchy at higher speeds, especially under braking.

I'm installing a 8/6 setup on my GT1's this week. On stock 5/3 rates, I don't think the squat was bad but more body roll than I'd like. Personally had more an issue with the valving from the factory, 9 from full stiff front, 12 from full stiff rear. Had bad skipping and pogo'ing at Streets of Willow Springs. It's a tighter technical course with so-so paved roads.

Going to try to experiment with higher spring rates and lower dampening settings, maybe go 12/12 or 12/15 and go back out to Chuckwalla or Buttonwillow with my fingers crossed nothing goes wrong this time around.

I recommend looking into a set of Braid wheels if you don't mind spending a little extra. Fullrace C's may work and plus you get to specify desired offset. https://braidusa.com/collections/street/products/fullrace-c?variant=39294769725595

Ordered a set of wheels from them myself although shipping is like another 180 extra

Yes, you are NOT going to hurt those at all, when going over track curbing at speed, or even on bombed out city streets. [thumb]

I hope not, would be devastated and have feelings hurt bad if they explode hitting a pothole. With my bad luck these days wouldn't be surprised either. Those fullrace As are real nice.

Think those would fit over my whoosh big brake kit? My hypergrams require a 5mm spacer to clear and the spokes on those have quite a bit of clearance for bigger brakes. My VMS wheels with slicks need a 20mm spacer to clear (15x8 +20) with spacer they're 15x8 +0

I still may do something crazy, and buy a set of Fullrace As in 16x8, and sell two sets of great wheels/tires, plus the stockers I already have in order to get them, that's how much I love those wheels. [wink]

But I do need brakes, and want to do some sort of a stronger suspension than factory (the Meisters, or most of the others, just will not cut it for what I am using this car for, at all), so I will have to quell that desire for the braids for a while. [:(]

^^^Yeah, SORRY for the FAR [offtopic], but I figured that this direction was still much better/positive than the vitriol, and abject animosity and all out flame war direction it came from, and was poised to continue in, on a downward spiral. [wink] [thumb]

WHAT are you doing that warrants a 'stronger suspension' than MeisterR's? I beat my car up, a lot, and the MeisterR suspension was fine - you're not going to find 'stronger' suspension components unless you go with Reigers (aka full on rally suspension with piggyback reservoirs).
