I’ll post it when I get back from lunch. Possibly related - it didn’t even do the double honk after I swapped to a sync 3 setup from a 16 FiST.

Edit: Disregard; I'll update my post tonight.

---

When I put my VIN into the URL above, I am showing a 7-27 block in the asbuilt values;
I think we have the capability there to eliminate hyperflash, I just don't think FORScan has it programmed yet; so really, I'd like to find out how to contribute to enabling this block in FORScan

727-02-01 2E5F
727-03-01 3264
727-04-01 0001 0255 53DE

I can upload my asbuilt file if desired.

Bluetooth Pairing Name (Ford Fiesta instead of Sync)

7D0-04-01
xxxx xxxx 20xx
Does anyone have the original numbers for this one? It didn't change the Bluetooth name for me and I believe it's causing issues with my radio. I'd rather not go back to asbuilt and lose everything else I've done.

Sorry for the necro bump, but has anyone figured out how to make the double honk go away?
Hold your key up to the windshield as you shut the driver door.
(the trasmitter/receiver is in the headliner near the rearview mirror)
Unless you have freakishly long arms or are willing to get on the roof, won't work for the trunk of course.
Just open/close the driver/passenger door before closing the trunk.

Yeah, saw that you can do that The thing is, it's not really much less conspicuous than the horn honking. 😭

Just have it in your left hand before you get out. Serves as a good reminder to lock the doors anyway. Honestly it no longer bothers me. 🤷‍♂️

Ideally I wouldn't pull my keys out of my pocket at all! Even when I'm parking, I just hit the lock button on the handle. 🤷‍♂️

If your car is double-honking when with the ignition off, there's something wrong. I believe it honks under those circumstances if it believes there's still a key in the car. This helps keep people from getting locked out if the remote falls out of their pocket. Not sure, but think I read somewhere that it'll eventually lock anyway, sealing the forgotten key in the car.

Nope, it's on and running and the key is in my pocket. That would be just fine for honking only under those circumstances. It honks when I step out for a moment with the engine running, like when I'm dropping my kid off at school in the morning. Forgive me if they don't all, but my car has keyless ignition and entry so there's no need for it to be in the car at all once it's on.

Having to take the key out of your pocket every time, must mean that you're doing deliveries or something then. Have you tried @Airborne_Ape's suggestion?

Me, it's just briefly placing my fist before the corner of the windshield during a frigid morning warm up. Other than that, never have to do it. What I would like, is a remote starting system. But these aren't safe for manual shift vehicles because you want more than just a hand-brake holding it.

Nope, not at all. You misunderstand. I specifically don't want to take the keys out of my pocket. My morning goes like this...

1) pull into school parking lot
2) open my door, exit the vehicle, close the door
3) honk honk
4) walk to the rear door where my son is and let him out
5) honk honk
6) hugs and goodbyes, hop back in and drive off

Turning the engine off is silly and unnecessary, in this case, and just puts wear and tear on things. I'm just hoping to get rid of steps 3 and 5. 😜

I've read several times that the f-150 coding change doesn't work on these cars. I don't know the first thing about coding on these cars, but do understand sets of bits. I dunno which bits do what in these registers, or which are check digits, and am a touch wary of hopping in there and flipping bits without knowing what they do.

Current chatter on forums for more widely driven vehicles seems to suggest that current forscan has some sort of functionality where these settings can be adjusted by name, rather than long coding, so I'm gonna grab a dongle and see what I see I guess.

Why do you leave your car running all the time? Shut it off.

"Soft" closing the door works well. I do that sometimes.

Another idea, put a toggle switch on the horn relay.
