West End will go over all of that with you. It depends on your driving style and what/how you want the car to respond. They will set you up, f/r camber, roll center, ride height, corner balance, etc. They know their stuff. Check out his Type R when your in there. That thing is MINT
I wish that we had a place like that around here, as I have lost ALL faith in our local tuner shop ever since they totally screwed up that S280 install on a member's FiST, which Jason @Dizzy had pointed out a couple of months ago. [:(]

will def get in touch with meister to check with their swift spring options. Any other parts would you recommend to complement the suspension setup? right now have some 16x8 rpf1 wheels w 205/50 direzza z3 on order, wavetrac and all tb braces sans booty bar. really like to keep stock height, have the car rotate well and decrease the body roll.

I'm pretty sure they will go up to factory ride height. When I first installed them, they were pretty high. I didnt take exact measurements, but they were high. Maybe/hopefully someone else took exact measurements, but if they dont go up to factory ride height.....then it is VERY close to it.

as long as it's not too far off from oem ride height and nothing detrimental to how the car handles, doesn't call too much attention to the way the car looks, should be great for me. .75" minimal drop not ideal (just matter of aesthetic preference) but tolerable. looking forwards to talking with jerrick next week. being used to driving a lot lower cars, was pleasantly amused the first time I rode in a fiesta st. felt like a small crossover to me until I hit the corners.

this is one of the reasons was interested in YCB's (along with attractive price point and linear springs but was wary of servicing intervals). On their website read custom shock lenghts might be an option.

^^Yeah, coming from a slightly lowered 4th gen Z/28 directly into this car, I felt like I was driving a slab sided CUV until I got used to sitting much higher in the car, and just how go-kart like the handling was of these little monsters. [wink]

On normal bumpy roads I am more in the air than on the road and driving even when I want to go straight on.
When I go fast, of course...
When I go slow, is the set-up just unnecessary uncomfortable.
Spring rates are 30 kg/cm in front and 23 kg/cm in the rear.
Shock absorbers compression / rebound (measured at 100 RPM and 100 mm stroke) are:
Front 1100 / 1800 N
Rear 900/ 900 N
I have ordered set-up which works on normal roads.
Rallye set-up instead of racing set-up.
In one month about I will see, if the company did the job well.
I am happy with following set-up:
Springs rates are now 46 kg/cm in front and 23 kg/cm OEM in the rear (I used to use 18 kg/cm in the rear, but it was worse than with OEM springs).
Shocks C/R are:
Front 1100/ 1400 - 1800 N (set to 25th click)
Rear 750/ 1200 - 2100 N (set to 28th click)
The car has still little bit oversteer, but not so much.
Interesting are the force vectoring rear springs, but I don´t know if they are applicable in the rear of my Mk7 Fiesta.

I mean these:

As you can see they have been tested in the Mk 7 FiST.
I can order the force vectoring springs - or if they have not 23 kg/cm - and I want to have this spring rate in the rear - I can have them made.
But is it really so simple - current take out and FV ones put in?

just got the miester gt1s installed and can confirm drop is really mild. closer to half an inch and not likely more than an inch. car still looks like a crossover. I did request the shop increase ride height to be as high as possible without impairing performance with street and track driving.

I also screwed up and forgot to bring in a set of taller springs with higher spring rates, so guessing I could increase ride height further.

Can the GT1s piston travel and valving actually handle any taller springs than what they spec?

That's not bad at all, but that is the very highest they will go and be functional on their supplied springs, correct?

Yes this was the tallest setting recommended by a more reputable suspension shop. I took a test drive around the canyon roads and they rode well enough, even if a tad too soft for my preference as I suspected. Will try to take it for a more comprehensive test drive at a track event this weekend and see how it holds up.

With the springs, I believe so, but going to double check. The range of springs offered are 180mm to 200mm from Meister but sourced from Swift. I actually have 200mm Swift springs on hand but they just aren't installed yet.

Good question.
First of all I have to have at least 1 Pc of the rear Mk 8 FiST spring as a sample and see the car.
To check how is it between rear beam and spring and between spring and the car.
Is here a special bushing or fastening?
Then I can check the spring rate and order it for my car.
The same company, which did the shocks and springs for my car is surely capable to do the FV springs.
But I must tell them what I exactly want.

drove streets of willow CW today to test out the Miester GT1s 5k/3k, 9 click from full stiff front and 12 rear.

drove well with higher speed sweepers but coilovers were pogo’ing up and down hard with any car doing 45mph’ish or less.

called it quits after 2 runs bc didnt want to break anything like my last event and get expensive tow.

Will try to figure this out with Jerrick/Meister. Not sure if the higher ride height is the issue here.

also had dna rear solid bushings, tb 4-pt front brace and lightweight luthium battery but kinda doubt those are the culprits.

time wise got decent 1.32 time. pretty sure can get a bit under 1.30 with suspension sorted out. Got 1.30.6 with my evo x, ohlins 10k/10k but bad heat soak

Curious to hear more about the GT1 issues. I know they typically pair them with higher spring rates. Was your set valved for the softer 5/3k springs?
