Sounds about right. I think with these turbo’s it gets sketchy on the clutch above 26psi. I am eyeballing a clutch probably in the spring and will do a LSD install at the same time. Then maybe screw the boost up a couple more lbs:ROFLMAO:
My clutch is fine so far at 32psig. I think @wetwea33 started to slip at 35psig.

Also my clutch has 80k miles on it with 13k being with the s280. You may want to budget for a replacement clutch soon..

Interesting, my clutch does not have that many miles on it. I wonder if it depends on the tunes. I know my tuner tuned on the dyno .I also know he tuned a lot of TQ in.

Clutch wasn't slipping it was just my R888rs spinning at the top of 3rd gear [emoji23]

Looking more closely at those boost curves....This S280 definitely looks like the winner for best street/stock like spool turbo. There appears to be literally almost no disadvantage over stock. The tiny difference below 3000 RPM is insignificant and would never even come into play during any sort of spirited driving.

my car turns into a rocket over 3k it seriously goes close to a sportbike in acceleration. I mean I was tapping the gas in second like I used to and my tires just spin. Thing is RS Pro’s while a bit noisy( not R888 noisy lol) down the road when they spin pretty much don’t make anymore noise they just spin. lol
Plus it just pulls straight to 7k , It is by far probably one of the best Turbo upgrade choices for our cars. Even Ron said that and he sells his own option.

Not sure its quite superbike performance (as its likely an S280 car in great tune is probably going to trap <120) but we get your point😁

The dyno charts I have seen have clearly shown that this turbo has much more top end then the other similarly spooling options, and the peak power isnt all that far off some of the tamer Garrett options it seems.

I did not say Superbike lol I said Sportbike their is a difference. You can talk all you want about charts lol . Wait till you drive one to really comment on how it performs otherwise you are speaking from opinion not experience.

P.S. Superbike‘s is a racing class, and ya their are out of the box Superbike’s they are way more powerful than standard Sportbike‘s. a F2 RRR is a Sport bike for instance. Its not a Superbike.

Yeah, sorry for the typo...my bad.

I didn't mean any offense to the S280, I know these cars are quick with that turbo installed.

No offense taken I am just saying you really don’t know till you drive it. Then you get it.
Too many glowing responses of people who have the S280 speak exactly to what I am talking about. I said it earlier I will say it again its one of the best options for our cars Turbo wise.

Yeah, although I have experience with a lot of other turbo cars making fairly significant amounts of power, I have never been in a fiesta with an upgraded turbo on it yet.....What does intrigue me about the S280 is that the power band is nice and wide. Some of the other Garrett offerings realistically end up needing N2O to get a non-drag strip like powerband.

First off its all about power to weight ratio’s not just power. Trust me if you like your Fiesta stock which I was not unhappy with its a peppy little machine. You will be very excited driving one with an ugraded Turbo provided its the right Turbo. Right now there are two options that have risen up to the top of the heap in my opinion unless someone is going for just stupid HP numbers. Those are the Whoosh hybrid for a Hybrid and the Turbo Technics S280 for a larger Turbo. Want numbers beyond 400 ya Garrett 2860 Gen II all the way. Below that S280.

So, IF a 100 tread wear TRACK tire cannot hold a well tuned/supporting modded S280's power, even on a 'roll on' (and maybe even with a good limited slip diff??), what's it going to take, Hoosier R7s, ON THE STREET?!?!

Or just never go WOT?

I've used these on front wheel drive cars making probably 2x the power and torque of an S280 car, they work great!

There are a lot of acronyms used for different things with the FiST (and theres one of them!) and in the post above where it says "whoosh SPA", that means the whoosh single port auxiliary fuel system.
